Fifa 09 suggestions 2

1 ) Ability to edit and create team kits
2 ) At the begining of a season in manager mode when you choose your sponsor it should be real companies and the company logo should appear on the shirt.
3 ) When you create a player and use him in manager mode more experience should be awarded like in Euro 2008
4 ) The referee should not be so biased towards A.I teams
5 ) We should be able to see the ref running aroung the pitch.
6 ) When an indirect free kick is awarded we should have the option of taking the free kick quickly
7 ) Different commentators because I am fed up of John Motson and Andy Gray, lets have someone new like Johnathon Pearce or David Pleat
8 )Different players on the cover. For the love of god please put someone different on the cover of Fifa09, I think the last time it wasnt Rooney and Ronaldinho was like Fifa05, feel free to check that and see if you can name the players that were on the cover.
9 ) If someone possesses alot of pace like Aaron Lennon or Wright-Phillips then they should be able to skin the fullback with ease
10) Improve players responsiveness, like when a player is slide tackled they should just be able to be clipped and carry on.

Feel free to comment on anything I have said or come up with some ideas. Hopefully the Fifa09 producers will have a look at this thread and take some ideas into account.

1) 10vs10

2) 10vsAI, AI will be on legendary or something like that..

3) Fifa 09 Online Chapions League, witch Groüpe stages, 4 teams in the groupe and 2 goes to knockout stages !!

4) Online Manager-Mode, Sell you own players to other online gamers and buy players from gamers !! and arange friendly online matches, qualificating to CL and Uefa Cup!!

In-game XMB will be awesome because Fifa 09 should have Trophies and they will great!

Scrap PC development team and port the PS3/Xbox 360 version to PC (you don't even need to change the little console icons, if you don't want to)! The fact that PC users have to put up with a inferior version to the consoles (yet still be expected to shell out £30+) stinks and there's no hiding it, EA!

Ball speed, trajectory, and spin. I want to see these physical attributes not only on shots on goal but on passes as well.

A curved pass on the ground for instance with proper weight.




Refs and Linos on the pitch acting snooty.



I want to see medics running on the pitch providing well needed magic spray for injured divers who rolled 6 times before finally coming to a complete stop.

I want to see the goalie giving directions to the wall on free kicks. And while we are on the topic of free kicks...can we finally get a system that actually works? And is consistant? I don' see why we need a cut scene...it should be a continous animation showing you the entire field, and if you want to focus in with the camera let a simple and yet meaningfull button command scheme provide that for you.


I want to witness weather affects that actually effect playing conditions.


Camera angles that provide a whole view of the pitch during play and can be zoomed in on the fly during critical moments. A psuedo Be A Pro and Television hybrid.

Being able to control your player beyond the out of bund hash marks. Remember it's the ball that must be completely out of the line to be out...a player is not an extension of the ball like most American sports. So can we please have players go out of bounds in order to keep the ball in play. Sick of what Next Gen Fifa provides.


A practice mode with value and meaning. Provide something more than an excuse to practice free kicks or watch your team in training gear. Can we have a practice mode that offers challenges?

More animations for set pieces, defense, and for the goalies.

It's wonderfull that we have a complex offensive skill move archetecture, but can it provide substance in actuall play? Meaning, if you pull a successfull trick...let it actually fool the defense and provide the space you earn. It's sickening watch you fake your opponant out and then have the Computer AI defensive player catch up unrealistically- it's so unfair. It's poor programming at the end of the day.


I want to see a true drop kick for the goalie. The goalie is so marginalized in footie games. He should be the one with the most animations and abilities. Yet is the slowest and most ackward player in the game.


Physics are good, but must be bolstered with more variations in ball trajectory, speed, and rebound characteristics.


I want to see the Refs on the pitch make poor calls and show human qualities.



I want to see an improved and well addressed offsides ruling system.

Can we just have a brave EA moderator to come on here and explain why the PC has to have inferior gameplay to the next-gen consoles? They owe us that, at least!

the reason why is because no p.c has anywhere near the capabilities of the 360 let alone the ps3. My advice to you is to but a next gen console and stop complaning

I agree with everything especially the weather factor, although the bit about the referees making wrong decisions cus i think sumtimes they already do

i think you have to change one abnormality from the recent FIFA games: the low results problem. the results from the other league match's in manager or tournament mode are so unrealistic (often 0-0 or 1-0 results). on reality results like 3-2 or ex. 4-2 not curiosity.

Some computers dwarf the capabilities of 360's and have better graphics

Dwarf. Exactly! I couldn't think of a better word myself! The capabilities of a high end PC dwarf that of the next gen console toys, especially in DX10 mode! Come on, EA. Tell us why you're too lazy to make a next gen PC version.

Excuse me, but my PC lalalalalalaes all over the PS3 and the Xbox 360. I have no reason whatsoever to buy one! You're talking lalalalalalalala and so are EA if they reckon that the PC can't match or better the PS3/360 version, if they really put their minds to it.

Firstly Fifa 08 was a great game, but I do have a couple of good ideas for 09.
NB - I would like these suggestions to be included in the PS2 version as well, as I only have a PS2.

The main thing I would really like to see Fifa introduce is African leagues, like the South African PSL, as this would attract people all around the African continent.

General Improvements
1. Music - The music in Fifa 08 was dreadful, try including music from all genres.
2. Leagues - Other than the African leagues, a variety of different leagues can be included, eg Russian, Greek. (People would love to see their local team on the game)
3. Stadiums - I say that the stadiums on 08 are too limited, there are many more stadiums which can be included, such as SA's 2010 stadiums.
4. Commentators - New commentators, maybe even a choice between 2 or 3 different pairs of commentators before starting a game.
5. Skill moves - Newer skill moves, also if a player that is tired tries to do a trick they trip over the ball (Not always, but just at random).
6 Referees - The refs should be on the field & make mistakes (The commentator could point out the mistake after the replay is shown).
7. Unlockables - More items to unlock, such as videos, club/player profiles.
8. Weather - Snow, dusk, wind blows the ball, sunset changing to night during a match.

Manager Mode Improvements:
1. Training - Include a feature to schedule proper training sessions, where players try new tactics & increase their abilities.
2. Awards - Have awards for manager & player of the month, if a player receives an award their form should be boosted for a short period.
3. Transfers - Transfers should be realistic, Ronaldo should not agree a contract with Morecambe or Bury. Managers should also be able to ask for a "Transfer Kitty" like in real football.
4. Heroes - Fans support should increase when a National Hero scores or is transferred to a club, eg if Fernando Torres moves to/away from a Spanish club the support should increase/decrease.
5. Competitions - More challenges, like earlier this year the Barclays Asia Trophy took place.

Finally gameplay should be more realistic, like the substitutes must be visible, fans must be more into the game, diving, fights, mud stains etc.

yes but the computers ur talking about cost more than a ps3 and a 360 combined.

the truth is that no game producer in their right mind would put any effort into a pc game cos the market is limited, apart from strategy games e.g football manager
