Default fifa 09 manager mode ideas

i would like it if when you are buying some one other teams actually show interest aswell or atleast buy any new players cos' i hate playing against the same team every year never changed.

Also how about the fans show some passion not all sitting down with the exact same blue caps on and actions shown.

other teams always show interest.....i dont what you're talking about. if the player isn't on the transfer list, other teams probably won't be going after him.

give teams a realistic transfer budget and make it so other teams bid for players. for instance:

I was Rangers in my last MM game. one of my first signings was Didier (sp?) Drogba who, whether a glitch or not, was a free agent. 2 seasons after, I
put him on the transfer list (I wanted half the money to boost my stad. manager rating, and half too keep in reserve in case my scouts found a brilliant 19 year old (as had happened the previous season, but I didn't have the money to get him). Drogba's value at this point was about 12 Million. who do you think but a bid in for him at 12 Million quid?

Milan?
Arsenal
Real?
Barca?

How about Dundee United? I am 100% serious, Dundee United put a 12 million bid in; in case this detail slipped past fifa I doubt Dundee United are even WORTH 12 million. so yeah, that needs sorted out.

In addition make it so that before you re-sign, you are offered a contract with another... 3 clubs, with incentives to leave your current club, one of which you're allowed to choose (increase budget, increase scout, increase stadium). However, each club/div should have a prestige level, so that someone who gets Accrington promoted doesn't get offered the Barca job.

I agree with this, if i put players up you always get some like Saudi team bid ridiculous amounts like £25,000,000

anyone realised in man utd manager careers. when ever you sell a good player e.g rooney, tevez, nani, anderson etc.... arsenal always put bids in.
I but jesus navas from sevilla and then sold him to arsenal. thing is, if arsenal wanted him they would have bought him from sevilla, dont you think?

Default not enough reality

hey i been playing fifa for a long time but i think the manager mode is not challenging enough in fifa 2008 training was a welcome but then also we dont get to know who is working hard in training to play them ...players progress is not good its pre-decided i personelly think if a player scores 30 goals in a season he should get a boost in his attributes ..in transfers their is no exchange of players the players dont get injuries..after a match their shoud be a press conference where the manger get a test of his talking test like chelsea manager now days is getting..winning a cup should be not enough to many more expectation should be their..loan period should not be for a ful year..my fav would be the club gets bought a u get a ton of money for spending improving ur squad..or buying a high profile player whos shirts sales get u a lots of profits...these are few things i would be looking forward too and we should also have an appeal to the refree...

For 360/PS3...

I.) Authentic league structure.

___a) Eredivisie, A-League, MLS, etc MUST have their proper playoff structures next season! As of now, these leagues are completely unplayable because of this. Extremely disappointing.

___b) MLS/FMF should have the SuperLiga, Brazil/FMF should have a generic Copa Libertadores, and the K-League/A-League should have a generic Asian Champions League.

II.) Ability to choose manager avatar.

___a) Previous installments of FIFA allowed us to choose a generic face for our manager. Please bring this back.

___b) I suggest implementing the ability to use the 360 cam to capture our own face and upload it into the game so that it can appear on newspaper articles, etc.

___c) Another neat thing that could come from this is having the fans make banners with our name and or a Che type image of our screen capture/generic avatar, once fan appreciation reaches a certain level. This will give gamers something to shoot for in the fan appreciation category.

___d) We should also have to select our country/language(s) of origin (2 languages max. to start). This could encourage players from your native country to come and play for you. On the other hand, not speaking a certain language could cause problems with team chemistry, signing foreign players, or coaching in certain leagues.

III.) FIFA international dates should appear on the calendar.

___a) Players should have to be called up to international duty to add a bit more of a challenge and realism to MM mode.

______For example: you'll have to deal with added fatigue, risk of injuries, player morale increase/decrease, and club vs. country conflicts. Certain African players should miss dates due to African Cup of Nations and players should begin seasons a bit more fatigued if playing during World Cup years, etc.

IV.) More newspaper headlines and media interaction.

___a) There should be a press conference after every game in the same format and style as the emails we receive after games. Questions should pertain to the game and be simplistic.

______For example: if a penalty was the deciding factor of a game in which you lost, a question should be asked about it after the game like, "Did you feel the penalty awarded to ______ was just?" Answer: 1) "The decision by the official was a gross injustice." 2) "It was a fair decision; we just need to be more organized." 3) "Our team played hard. Sometimes these things happen." 4) "What kind of a question is that?!" 5) Do not talk to the media.

___b) Generic pictures of players training/playing current week's opponent should appear in newspaper to preview or recap matchups.

___c) Ticker should scroll across bottom of screen during half-time of games giving you league scores. Ticker could also appear in Manager Mode menus.

___d) Relevant injury reports should appear in the newspaper as well to help keep gamers aware of opponents injuries in a more user-friendly manner.

______For example: let's say my club is Lazio. I just finished a game, completed my press conference and get to look at the newspaper headline which reads, "Roma Star Totti Unlikely for Lazio Clash".

___e) Finally, I think the whole presentation style or GUI of the Manager Mode needs to be changed. Personally, I would make the main Manager Mode screen look very Sky Sports News style, with scores, stats, injury reports, generic transfer talk (based off of players currently in negotiations), etc constantly appearing and changing on-screen. Where the reporters/highlights would be on-screen is where I would put the traditional Manager Mode menu system. Here is an example:

V.) Set piece designer.

___a) I believe previous installments of FIFA gave us the ability to choose plays for corners, etc. Bring this back and give us the ability to design our own.

VI.) Players currently on your team should be able to help you sign other players.

___a) Team veterans and players from the same country as prospective signings should be able to help sway players to sign with our team.

VII.) Fan favorite players.

___a) Certain players should become "fan favorites."

For example: if a player is a team leading goal scorer or league clean sheet leader, etc., then fans should hang banners with his name/number on them. More importantly, if you sell/loan these players, then fan appreciation should drop.

VIII.) Ability to bring Manager Mode teams online for unranked games.

IX.) Ability to allow online gamers to be the opposing team in Manager Mode.

___a) Madden Football had this a couple years back. I personally would LOVE to play using opposing teams in my friend's Manager Mode. It's also nice, because it gives me a reason to play with teams I might not ever get to play with.

X.) New league rivalries.

___a) Throughout our Manager Mode we should be able to develop new league rivals.

For example: suppose my lower table team happens to always upset a top league contender towards the end of the season, or my top league team always comes up against another league's team in European competition. Those teams should become "new rivals" and larger amounts of fan appreciation, team chemistry, and player morale should be won or lost.

XI.) League expansion/team creator.

___a) Certain leagues like MLS and I believe the A-League are looking into or already have expansion teams lined up. Newer leagues like this should have the ability to add expansion teams or have them hidden until they are due to arrive in the league, like Seattle and Philly.

XII.) Real-time weather.

___a) Sounds far-fetched I know, but another EA game NCAA Football is doing it. The makers of the college football game made a deal with the Weather Channel to give gamers the ability to have true to life weather conditions.

Check this out: EA - Action, Fantasy, Sports, and Strategy Videogames

XIII.) Pre-season friendlies.

___a) The ability to schedule pre-season friendly games to earn some extra income, build team chemistry, and try out new tactics. These games should NOT affect manager prestige or job security.

I think this is a major issue on the PS2, does anybody else find this is the same with next-gen? I mean, Chlesea just bought Christiano Ronaldo but a major transfer like that happens once every three seasons maximum

How about a training mode, where u can do drills to make your players better. Or how about having a youth squad/2nd squad where you can practice with them during the week. Finally just a practice mode, pks, free kicks, crosses, corners, breakaways/one on ones, or just a game. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDED.

Also the ablity to edit players in manager mode, not the abilities, but the boots and the size/height/face of scouted players THIS WOULD BE KEY at least for me.

Thanks

i think that the different attacking options for corners should be bought back, i find myself and others online trying the same corner techniques.

i also think that in season mode when the transfer window is open other computer controled teams should make offers on players that they are interested in and happen not to be on the transfer list. When the transfer period is over there should be a news letter telling us which teams have bought different players.

i think a fantasy draft both online and in manager mode should be developed... perhaps if you choose to play as a team in the FA premier league than the draft could be from a pool of all premier league players or all players in the game could be drafted by a customizable league of any teams

I think that for the training in the Manager Mode you should be able to actually play it. With challenges that are set, which depending on how well you complete will raise you players stats up slightly.
