MY THOUGHTS ON THE FIFA 08 DEMO (XBOX 360) & (PC) GAME

Well, first, I downloaded the demo on my laptop, and after about 30 minutes I got on it, and I thought it was absolute lalalala!
Basically FIFA 07 with some updated players

Anyway, moving on to better things.
I downloaded the FIFA 08 demo on the XBOX 360 2 days ago, and at first I was getting really stressed with it

, I went about 15 games without scoring, hitting the posts and bar numerous times after the first few games, but mainly 0-0 draws.

But, earlier I decided to go on it, and FINALLY! I scored!
Not only that, I went on to win 2-0

! with 2 great strikes from just inside the area.

So Yeah! basically some thoughts on the game.

Tackling- 7/10 - Well to me the game seems rather slow, which isn't the way I play, and takes alot of getting used too, but eventually I will master it I'm sure

Passing - 6/10 - Also I find long distance passing extremely difficult compared to FIFA 07.

Shooting - 8/10 - At first I found it hard, but as soon as u learn how long to hold it down for, it starts to get good :P

Graphics - 9.5/10 - Definately an improvement, think they look almost spot on!

Overall Grade for the demo - 9/10.

But, yeah like I said before, I feel the game plays rather slow, but its alot more realistic.

Looking forward to the release next friday

a question i have just read and i will post it here for others to try start something off to see if we get any answers. Do you see the cpu on the next-gen version do tricks?

From what I have seen so far, no!

I havent seen the CPU use any skill yet.

I imagine they do so, but just not too often.

I think the game speed is a lot better now, don't get me wrong - fifa 07 speed was good, but this is a lot more realistic to the real game.
Loved the demo, hopefully will be suprised with the full package on friday (commentary) and any other last minute updates!
Finding the switch player a pain in the rear, but like most things it will take some getting used to

yes, I have seen Ronaldo do step overs to try to beat my left back.

They just don't do it every 2 seconds like some people think tricks happen

When I downloaded the game it to my laptop it like 3 hours. Is the demo supposed to have the be-a-pro option cause mines didnt

I totally agree. I've also notice when you perform tricks yourself...the AI tends to reply with tricks also. It's just not on every possesion like people may want happen.

of course, you and Valioso are spot on. I just got worried cause I had only seen 1 fake shot out of all my plays. but to know ronaldo has tried some step-overs and from a very reliable source and good friend, this makes sense that the AI is realistically using tricks, but the best part is they do use them!

I was worried they didn't do anything cool every now and then. Rare, but great to see it happen. Sure you all agree.

I was worried also...but I can confirm this to you my friend that the trick performed by the AI are spot on...and they are performed quite well I may add. For they have fooled me and my defense.
