Default Why FIFA is always pathetic

All you really have to do is look at who makes the game, EA CANADA...
Canada has no clue about what real soccer is or should be so why expect a soccer GAME from them to be anything like real soccer????
Look at EA Tiburon's games, Madden and now Tiger Woods, both great games. Madden has on field refs, like 6 of them, players, coaches, camera men, cheerleaders, an actual ANIMATED CROWD. FIFA cant even put 4 REFS ON THE FIELD???? And what about the crowd which plays a huge part of soccer atmosphere...in UEFA they had to take the crowd out during gameplay so the framerate wouldnt drop?? PATHETIC!!
Where are the crowds cheering, waving flags, bruning flares, etc??
I dont really like PES that much but there is just no excuse for how terrbile FIFA is, EA Canada is just plain lazy and until another developer gets this game, it will always be lalalala!!

When speaking of other sports receiving a more prominent place of importance, and taking into account my limited, though well-researched information regarding EA Canada, I'll have to agree with you in slight.

American Football, Hockey, and Basketball are their big franchises and probably the primary sports in which EA on a whole invests the most time into.

That's not to say that they do not love FIFA. -- I think they do. Just not as much as the others.

EA Canada should team up with EA Tiburion is what you're saying. Or is it ? I know about the flares. It's not aloud in there because it will encourage kids to use them even though they're dangerous, apparently.

He doesn't like FIFA. It's his opinion. You don't have to flame. Talk sense.

I played FIFA 2002 on PC yesterday. The fans in that game are so much better than in FIFA 08!

But you do have to question some of the things he says... For example over the years Fifa has went from incredibly arcadey to a realistic simulation, if he doesn't like 1 or the other, does he like football at all?

Blaming EA Canada because it's Canada is although an assumption I can understand, it is also in essense the wrong assumption as the dev team is made up of football fans from Europe, Middle East, Far East & other parts of the globe, all football fans who want to recreate the game with the help of feedback from the fans.

So sure it's his opinion to not like the game, but I do wonder when the game has been from arcade to realistic simulation in the recent years, what exactly is he looking for??

You've got a point. He shouldn't have stereotyped Canada.

fifa still feels like a psuedo simulation. maybe a serious arcade cos it limits u heavily. this is my opinion. doesnt mean it sucks or isint fun or i cant play it. as for dev team, all i have to say is leeds united.

joe booths says leeds (canadians probably know to stay away from leeds).
kojima says inter.
i hate but clubs but if i were to weight them inter would have more flair hence more dribbling, but its fifa that has the trick stick right?
its just a way to show tht location and nationality may not neccesarily have an impact. but i would like to see ea move its football base to anywhere but france and england.

the game is made in canada but most of the team is from europe and know football.

Fifa leads the way for the gameplay enigines in the other sports games EA create. The new branching animations were created for Fifa and added to everything else. Surely this shows Fifa is a huge product for them and more time is spent developing this than any other!?

Silly boy. You do realise the term Soccer was coined by the English from the soc in "Association Football"?

The reason the Americans adopted it because they have their own game of Football. But, let's NOT go into why Football is the most ridiculous name for a sport that hardly uses the foot.

As for Fifa being pathetic uh no....even though EA did and have admitted to bodging 07 onto NG at least they tried pro evo was just ported!!
