Does no recognize my gamepad

I have a ps3 sixaxis controller set up to work with windows (see motionjoy.com). it works in most games including other EA sports games and is fully recognized and functional in windows (control panel/ game controllers) however fifa 08 and fifa 09 do not even recognize the controller... my only control option is keyboard. is there any way i can make it work/recognize in the game? even just make it recognize as a generic controller of sorts?
