Default PC Online problems after latest Windows Updates

when iam clicking to sign into the game lobbys etc i keep getting a page showing up saying this program cannot display the webpage and it says most likley cause's are not connected to the internet (which i am), the website has a problem, and there might be a typing error in the address.

So i cant get signed into the online games .

can someone please tell me if they are having a problem too.

My computer installed some new up-dates automatically today, and I too had the same problem. I re-installed my computer to the time the up-dates were installed and now I can get into the game lobby.

Go to System tools, then re-install computer, you machine finds the last place anything changed (you can change to any time & date, but its best to use their recormended time) Just click on re-install and it does it for you, Your computer has to be re-started but none of your files and information are affected.

Yes, that whats happend, windows vista updates its self with a bunch of new files, which must really be needed as lots of them are to do with security, so like the other guy, i done system restore back a day or so and now i can play the game .

BUT, and its a major BUT, we need those windows updates, and we have to take them at some point, so we cant keep blocking them, so what we going to do, does anyone know ???

mate, for now just restore back a couple of days or whenever you are sure that you didnt have the windows new updates, BUT you MUST report this issue to ea, either phone them (like i done) or send a report via the support sections of the ea sites, otherwise this issue will never be resolved if they dont know about it.

Scots7777 the up-dates are very important, but they can be installed once EA have sorted out the problem of getting into their lobby with the new up-dates.

I totally agree with Scots7777!

Ok.. So we can "fix" it by moving back a day or two in time.. but.. we do need these updates and EA have to fix it for us!

So report your problems!! I have done it by mail and by phone ( I was the first to call about it in Sweden).

If you simply remove the update... will XP or Explorer run anway, go back to the older version then?

Listen guys, ive took a screenshot of the culpirate windows updates files to avoid, but i cant figure out to post the screenshot in here, if someone could tell me how to, i would be glad to post the screenshot.

OR, if thats not possible (which suks if it isnt possible to post a screenshot in here), i can send the screenshot to your email address if you care to post it or pm it to me, up to yourselfs guys.

What I do here though is list the microsoft code numbers for each of the updates, that way you will see which ones you have or havent, its definetly one of these thats causing the problem, but which one i dont know, thats for ea and/or microsoft to solve, heres the update numbers of each of the updates >>>

KB942615
KB941568
KB941569
KB942624
KB943078
KB942763
KB890830
KB905866

As i said, its defo one of those causing the the prob, iam on windows vista by the way incase that makes a difference, how i found those updates was to do system restore, make sure fifa was working fully online etc in the matchup rooms etc, then click start/windows updates, and sure as can be those pain in the *** updates come through again, although this time i dont install them (for now), just turn the windows updates OFF infact for now.
