Transfer Gossip: Liverpool manager Robbie Cocker has reportedly decided to make Fernando Torres his number 1 target of the transfer season. Liverpool cruised to a 3-1 victory over Reading in the first game of the season. The game was played a Reading, but the hosts were only able to provide 2 shots of any kind. One of them creeping into the bottom corner. Bellamy opened the scoring in the 50th minute with a lovely hammered shot from outside the box. Crouch then put Reading into despair in the 80th minute by dribbling around the reading keeper, and slotting in a low shot into the far corner. Reading then pulled one back however with a lovely volley from Glen Little. However, Reading fans hopes of stealing a point were dashed as Craig Bellamy fired from the half line and watched it bounce under the crossbar for his second goal of the match. It finished 3-1 to the visitors, and Liverpool had grabbed an easy 3 points in the first match of the season.

Transfer: Torres has turned down another offer from Liverpool. He still wants more money, but will Robbie shell out, or look elsewhere?

Liverpool slaughtered Watford 4-1 at Anfield following this announcement.

If the player doesn't think you are taking him seriously then you need to increase his wages and/or his goal bonus. Upping the transfer fee won't help at all? Unless his club are not happy with the offer.

Yes, but all last names sound funny when you think about it for a while Anyway, liverpool don't seem to be nearly as popular with the AI players in this game

Im still waiting for a feature on the pc version where you can offer a player as a makeweight in a deal..it would be realistic..Oh and a feature when you can offer a player to a club!
