Chelsea is not rich, they are even losing around 100 million quid a year! It is Mr. Roman Abramovich who's rich! I dunno if the fan base of Chelsea have increased with all these new signings. Most of their new fans are probably kids or new to the game of football. I think a lot of football fans resent being fans of Chelsea because of how they got their players.

yeah thats true, it is abramovich which is rich but his wealth rubs off on the club in terms of who they can afford to buy. i remember the days when chelsea couldn't even think of rivalling arsenal or man united and came like 4th all the time. that only changed coz of abramovich

yeah as mourinho brought carvalho and ferreira with him practically they shouldn't have sold gallas though him and terry were really good centre backs for them

Thanks to that deal, they were held to a draw against Reading because of Ashley Cole's wonderful clearance that bounced from Essien and then into their own net... Thanks in part to Sheva's failure to score goals... Man, what the hell is happening to Shevchenko? Is he in retirement mode or something?

yeah from your clubs point of view that was good business but from chelseas point of view not really, they could have kept del horno or played bridge in that left back role

Sheva was raised in Dynamo Kyiv, a club known for its sonic counter-attacking play. That's why he's as good as a counter attacking forward and as an attacking midfield (ask Drogba about the 2nd).

I wuldn't say that Sheva is at his best at the moment but Chelsea are really weak in terms of team play this year with or without Shevchenko you can't blame him for this. And he's a real team player so he's dependant on his team very much.
