Default Tips on tricks in Fifa07

I thought this should be posted in Fifa07 forum as well. If there r already similar topics here, ignore this one. But people might miss those, so it's never bad to have another.

Here I gathered all the tricks I found out so far. Hope they will help:

\\ playing From left to right: //
--Same principle for any directions--

# shift pressed + up down arrows (in that order) - dribbles to the left with simulation, bycicle or simple, depending on the player's position and movement (down+up - dribles to the right).

#shift pressed, while moving, so keep left arrow pressed, and tap up arrow (or down arrow) .Works any direction.

#ronnie flip flap = shift pressed+left pressed + tap the down (or up) arrow. Same priciple for any direction.

#sig moves (only got robinho so far): same principle as flip-flap.

#shift pr. for 1sec before --> right then left arrows- lift up the ball (like in fifa05) (good against sliding tackles)

#shift+ left/down/right arrows - 360 "zidane" . Or left/up/right.

# double tap pace control (or the run button) to stop the ball

#(cr. ronaldo heel trick) whatever direction u'r facing, hold down shift and quickly tap "oposite direction" + "the direction u want the player to go" arrows. For example, moving left to right, tap left arrow and down arrow with shift pressed.

#Shift pressed, right(press longer while moving)/up/left/down quickly(only at a certain moment in the player movement) - lift up the ball with the heel (could work as a nice drible)-not sure about the combination though.

# shift pressed + back arrow then up arrow then A - quickly ("The Rabonna" with cr. ronaldo ---> crosses the ball crossing his legs)

#Fake cross/shot - when crossing/shooting quickly press the S key and a direction to fake while u corss/shoot. Practice to master this nice trick.

# keeping the ball on Ronaldinho's chest (he's the only one I've tried this with).. Make a rainbow and move towards the falling ball. It should work. Relese it with a pass (i didn't sutied it too much, but it usuallt works )

some work only with certain players (flip-flap or rabonna) the rest usually with the good players. Simple drible moves work with all of them.

(the only secret is practice)

ALSO:
Dummy move+D - placed (finnese) shot
Pressing S and Q or C (i'm not sure now) sends the one who passed running in front to receive the pass or a possible cross.

Putting it short, there r two main types of shots: placed shot and direct shot. For the placed shot u use the dummy move button while pressing the shoot button. This is the best way to score from a good position inside or near the box.
For the long shots I use certain players who have this certain ability. (check player's Shot power mark) Make sure u have a clear shot, so no defenders in front, and use only the shoot button for a direct shot. Don't take it to full power, just like in 06 u release it when u feel it's right. If u have a good positioning and the right player, u'll get wonderfull goals from midfield. But remember it's all about positioning.

For the free kicks, dummy move calls a 2nd player 2 simulate the shot. Keep it pressed to simulate.
Also u can use the pace control key for another way to take the free kick.

And u can CURL form corners or free kicks using the arrows. The exact moment is important. Not too soon, or u'll curl too much.

ALSO:
Shift pressed longer = first touch much powerfull when recieving the pass.

some other nice looking tricks:

Of course u all know these tricks by now, but i'll write them anyway just to keep this up to date

- when recieving a high ball double press the pace control button (or just keep it pressed) to stop the ball at your feet not on your chest, avoiding that long control which will always give your opponent the possibility to take it.

- the tactics changer pressed when you cross makes the cross more acurate, sort of 'finesse cross'. Try it and you'll know what I mean. Not a very big change, but still it looks nice.

- faking a cross in midfield gives you the opportunity to turn with the ball, just move while faking the cross into the opposite direction. It's kind of a Cristiano Ronaldo small back heel. Looks nice.

- It doesn't work to lift the ball and bycicle kick the ball. The semi bycicle kick, paralel with the ground, seems to be esier to do anyway.
A full bycicle kick is kinda rare, but it can be done.
There's also another kind, similar with what Rnaldinho did vs Villareal nov2006. I didn't score then so I won't post the video.

- Using the pace control with great players works very nice when trying to avoid a throw or a corner, usually with double tapping it. Also makes some very nice dribbling. Also stoing the ball (double tap the pace control button) in front of the box gives u the opportunity to score a Ronaldinho kinda goal (vsChelsea - ChlLeague 05-06, u know the one) Just make sure not to let the player moving the ball again, or it will shoot in the crowd most of the time.

- another nice looking trick is pressing shift (step over I think it's called) and score

with the left feet right after the right feet touches the ground. (Works with passes, looks cool, like Zidane's passes)

- sometimes, when u stop the ball and pass looks kind of like Ronaldinho's passes when he keeps the ball under his right feet and pass with the left one.

- Not all the tricks from the starting video works (of course!), but at least u can improvise some of the ones wich doesn't work. (they won't look like in the videos

anyway). If any of u managed to pass with the chest like in the video, please share the trick. Or Ronaldinho's move between two defenders.

- and it doesn't work to turn 360 while recieving the pass, i tried it over and over. I

- use the pace control a lot, especialy when recieving high balls, and just as a tip for wining, establish a strategy and when playing play the gam 4 times faster then u play against the computer or weeker opponents.

- double tap the pace contrl button to stop the ball in front. Double tap the Run button to stop it turning the back to the defenders.(this one worls great when trying to protect the ball or as a nice dribble)

The STANDING Tricks:

- double tap the Run button to stop the player, then you do the standing trick. Remember that if there an opponent player in front, double tapping Run button will shield the ball. In that case double tap the Pace button. But shielding the ball and doing the standing trick makes more sense in most cases. Try it and it's your choice how u use them:
(all keys should be pressed very quickly, consequently _and many times ina row until u learn the trick)

### 'Shift' and 'left' to fake moving left (right key is for faking right ) ###

### 'Shift' 'up' then 'down' then again 'up' keys to step over and move in oposite direction like here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKfLoV5mmtU ###

### imediatly after stoping press 'shift' then the opposite direction twice to drag the ball back ###

### if you press the opposition direction three times then a direction the player will 'throw' the ball with his heel in the direction you wanted.

### for star players do the sig tricks while standing. It works fine.

### There are simple and complete standing tricks, like the one in the vid, he could just step over, without moving. U just don't have to press 'up' key again (or 'down' key depending on direction and leg u want to do it with) Thos are very nice when shielding. Actually that's the only time I us them.
Just for Ronaldinho I used it in fron of the goal to recreate the goal against Chelsea. It's a beauty. Try it in training! And u'll notice that a player can shoot while standing still, with no movement at all. Great players can score superbe goals like that.

The thing is, just because people know these tricks it doesn't meen they can do them. Most of the time it could just be unrealistic movement of the players, or tricks made when it doesn't make any sense.

I re-edited the rabona. It's a bit harder to make ( for me at least). I think the positioning is really the reason. Just in a certain area, like in the promo vids.
ALSO: pressing shift to do a trick will also meen that the reciever of a pass will move the ball longer with his first touch (but u knew that already.
Shift pressed longer = first touch much powerfull.
Just to point this out. Glad it helps )

back-heels r easy to do, just pass the ball pressing s and the oposite direction /arrow(s).
I don't know anything about a robinho special, but there probably is one indeed. Check what Makelele did for instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKfLoV5mmtU

So maybe some players have specials left to be discovered.
