Nobody needs CMS help.

... if you want to develop your own CMS, ask and I'll recommend another book.

Well, I am at the 'dummy' stage of webdesign

"Build your own web site the right way using HTML and CSS" by Ian Lloyd, recommended by Aaron

Lot's of people need CMS help! There can be more to CMS than just clicking buttons and viola! Some people like to learn how to develop a current CMS further like modding codes, writing new mods, codeing themes/skins etc.

Lloyd will teach you how to write decent markup, which is the most important thing. His design skills are somewhat limited though.

No. I really do think they've had their day. Unless a CMS has been heavily modified (which is more work than developing one yourself), you can spot it a mile off.

I couldn't sell a website to someone based on a pre-built CMS, for example, I create them from scratch. They do what the client needs, and nothing more.

A CMS is like a Swiss Army Knife (kinda). Lots of stuff, but you really only need the knife.

This is the outcome of his book:

Bubble Under - The diving club for the south-west UK

To me, that doesn't look too bad but I'm sure you experts could point out several flaws

I know. I have read it y'know. I don't recommend stuff I know nothing about.

There are no "flaws" technically, but look at sites like Web Designer Wall for some examples of really stunning design.

Um, Sumo creature, I have a bunch of Sitepoint posters that I don't need (or ever needed, actually, they were Free with books ). PHP, CSS and JavaScript references. If you want any, inform me!

I've actually started building a website myself, but I know nothing about html codes except the very basic, text formatting anchoring stuff.
Thanks to Aaron's Basic HTML guide.
(I'm using dreamweaver. )

Nothing wrong with using Dreamweaver.

... unless you didn't pay for it or you're in design view.

We've had Dreamweaver for a while. My Dad got it for some weird reason a while ago for work.. He never used it though so he gave it to me to install on my computer for school projects and stuff.About the design view... That's about he only thing I know how to use on dreamweaver.
I'll probably bother looking up tutorials on the coding side some time. But for now I'm gonna have to stick with it.

So there.
