So, why did we think this would be a good idea?

EA related fansites only? That's dumb and wrong. It should be decent websites only, no matter what the subject.

I'm getting ready to open a new website (more Adobe related than EA) - I take it I would be fine creating an update thread in Off Topic, right?

Confirmation, please.

I would think most people do.

This forum is dead now.

No you are not allowed to advertise any sites anywhere else on this forum except in here and even at that as you know only EA Fansites so I would say the answer is NO you cant post an update thread for your adobe based site as this would be concidered SPAM an ther for a rule break which could then lead to you getting Banned but I don't suppose you getting banned from here would really bother you as you think this forum is rubbish and you do'nt like it, Oh! but you do like to come and slag it off.

If you'd like to insult me, at least use punctuation. Thanks.

I've got a little query here.

I'm trying to implement a CSS navigation menu for my new website, but I'm having some issues. I was roughly following this tutorial, however none of it seems to work. They don't change when I hover over the links.

I've used the W3C CSS validator and all of the associated parts of the CSS seem to have errors.

Now this could be something really silly that I've overlooked. I'm quite the beginner to web development so don't be too harsh if it is something silly.

I'm getting this re-occuring error:
Quote:
"193 #menu.home Value Error : background Parse Error build\nav\dead\dead_home.png) no-repeat "
It's finding fault with this:

Quote:
#menu .home {
width: 64px;
height: 42px;
background: url(image build\nav\dead\dead_home.png) no-repeat;
left: -610px;
top: 70px;
}

The problem re-occurs across all of the menu related sections of the CSS.

Any ideas as to what's causing the problem? Apologies in advance if it's something really rather simple.

Well to kill the parse error, remove the space in "image build". Hyphens, underscores or camel casing are good things. You should also be using forward slashes.

If you post the full contents of the CSS and HTML files, I'll take a look.

Thanks for your help.

Would you prefer if I emailed you?
