Default Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 Demo now available!

Go get it!

Quote:
Want to break some faces? The FaceBreaker™ Demo is now available on Xbox LIVE™, and will follow on the PlayStation Network™ soon. The demo features characters Sparrow, Ice and Steve going at it in the fast-paced boxer, as well as the game’s custom face generator called Photo Game Face. Photo Game Face will allow gamers to upload a cartoon likeness to the FaceBreaker online boxer gallery at EA SPORTS World. Created boxers will all be available for download – and can be shared with the world - when FaceBreaker is released. Players can use an XBOX LIVE Vision camera or a PLAYSTATION®Eye camera to upload themselves – or someone else - directly onto their consoles, or alternatively use a regular photo. Transform your created boxer with 60+ customization options to play with, a full color palette and a closet full of costumes.
Expect the unexpected with FaceBreaker; an all new arcade boxing title featuring laugh-out-loud fisticuffing action and over-the-top characters.
It would be cool to see what you think of the demo too!

*UPDATE* The PlayStation3 demo is now available!

i got the demo yesterday & think its a very fun game.

good deal including the create a boxer with the face thing. only problem was im about as white as you can get and the boxer that was created was about as dark as it gets....maybe the lighting in the picture was off, but the face looked just like mine.

I played it- felt good once I got used to the controls, which were deceptively simple.
I created a boxer, but was then disappointed that it would not upload...
I will, however, try again later- wish me luck...!
Good game though, overall, from what I could tell from the demo!

Did you try again? How did you get on?

I haven't downloaded this yet (I've been too busy playing the Madden demo ), but I've been looking forward to this for a while so I'm definitely going to check it out over the weekend.

Tried again. Failed.
I had some problem connecting, and I'll describe this in detail (via editing, to keep you moderators happy ) tomorrow, or whenever I next log in, because I have really got to go now...
In brief, a server-connection error...

Edit: Now for the problem (X360, btw):

I can create my boxer and then save. This takes me to a sort of 'menu' where it says stuff like "duplicate and edit" and "fight!!" It also says "Upload." However, when I click that, the game seems to freeze and I cannot navigate the menus anymore, but can still see the background moving and hear the music playing, and can still access the Xbox Guide. Any ideas?

Also, there is another menu from where I can select Upload and then it takes me to my showroom, I select a boxer and it asks me to choose a category for my boxer (like Alien, Robot, Entertainer, etc.). However, when I press 'A' almost immediately something pops up telling me that I was unable to connect to EA's Servers and that I should connect and try again- I am already connected to XLive and I saw nowhere to select to connect to EA's Servers as I can do in NFS:PS and FIFA 08...

Amy feedback and/or help would be much appreciated and I hope that you are able to resolve this issue!

Thanks in advance,

Maxen13

Any ideas on what might be causing the above-mentioned problem?

Thanks,

None, whatsoever. I'll try it for myself, tomorrow, and I'll pass this on to the studio so that they can look into it, too.

If anyone else is having these problems, please post and let me know.

Thanks, Phenom!

I'll have a go again as soon as I can and will update you on that. We wouldn't want such a problem in the real game, so it's best to get it sorted now during the demo period!

Have you got Gold or Silver, I have a feeling that you may need Gold although I am not sure?

OK.
Silver.

Maybe I could try with a friends Gold account, to see if it makes any difference...

Thanks,
Maxen13

PS Could you try to find out for certain whether this is the problem? I would have thought that, seeing as I can upload replays on games such as skate. and FIFA 08, that I should be allowed to upload a boxer... Again, thanks!

Are you still having this problem because I just created and uploaded a boxer (edited from one in the game) and it uploaded immediately. I have Gold.

She is here

I will try once more to see, but I think the problem will still be there.
I have also now downloaded the TW PGA Tour 09 demo so if there is a "create and upload your golfer" part I will try that and post, in the relevant forum, whether it worked or not.

Edit: I have viewed, rated and commented on your boxer, Sheila Kickyabut!

Thanks for your help,
Maxen13

Ooh thanks! Yes, spur of the moment naming, that was

I am thinking that you may well need Gold but it will be interesting to see how you got with TW09.

The uploading still does not work, so, if at all possible, could you please look into this for me, please?
And TW09 does not even have a Create-Your-Own-Golfer mode/thingy...
However, I can tell you that I am able to upload replays from skate. and FIFA 08 (both EA Games, just for clarification) and I thought that, if I could upload from them, that uploading a boxer would be the same principles.
Back to Facebreaker, as soon as I press the category I want my boxer to be, a message pops up saying "Error connecting to easportsworld.com servers" or something similar. Any ideas? It comes up way too quickly for it to have actually tried to connect (I am/was at the time connected to XLive when attempting to upload) and so it points to the possibility, which you and Adroit have both suggested, that the Gold membership level is required...

Thanks for the help, and please try to look into it further!
