What happened to Baldur's Gate 3

This game's supposed to be the "spiritual Follower" on the Baldur's gate series.
I wonder what happened to Baldur's Gate 3, i have 1 and 2 and was realy looking forward to 3.

Dragon Age is looking fantastic as well, ofcourse i will own this.
I read that Dragon's Age is in the "spirit" of Baldur's gate.

So this is what Baldur's gate has evolved into?

What happened to Baldur's Gate 3?

BG 3 was only ever a rumour as far as I know...but this is the next best thing!

Atari own the rights to Bauldurs Gate now.
