hi
ive decided 2 dump my ashes series and play a full season with lccc. (ROCK ON) so, i started off with a 4 day match with hampshire. it was a muggy day, but the pitch a belter. hamshire won the toss and elected to bowl first. morning session day 1 to afternoon session day 1 they (hamshire) gained momentum straight away, as mark chilton was bowled first ball by tremlett. now, mal loye would ussually be opening, but he went down to 3, while law opened with chilton. then, despite the loss of an early wicket, the 2 l's started playing their shots. but, 6 overs later, law suffered the same fate as chilton, leaving a ball from tremlett that nipped back and he was bowld for a bright and breezy 19 off 24 balls. the next man in was brad hodge. after 8 overs, shane warne was suprisingly bought on to bowl. it worked. he trapped hodge lbw for 2, misjudgeing a sweep. and when he got chappel second ball, the score was a perilous 40-4. but, flintoff came in and started to bash the ball all over the park.along with mal loye, they built a good partnership. but, they both fell to leave the score at 156-6 at lunch. |

afternoon session day 1 to afternoon session day 3
lancashire have a new player this season. he's called plyslogsweep. (yes, i am being serious) who bats at 8 and opens the bowling . being 156-6 at lunch, lancashire needed runs. with james anderson, they put on more than 100. in the end, plyslogsweep got 76 off 146 balls, with "jimmy a" getting 65 off 117. the rest of the tail wagged, with numbers 8 to 11 all getting into double figures. in the end, lccc ended up with a decent score of 357. there is something i haven't told you. i autoplayed the bowling. well, 200 overs of it anyway (out of 212). the innings started slowly, with adams battering 14 from 48 balls. (yawn) but when that wicket fell, not another did for a very long time. brown sprinted to 91 from 198 balls before anderson got him lbw. kevin pieterson, their star player, got 250. only 2 others really got above average scores. they were stokes and burrows, scoring 80 and 60 not out respectively. when they daclared on 607-7, they had a lead of 250. lancashire have a big task on their hands to save this match. |

afternoon session day 3 to end of match
lancashire needed to bat sensibly for the rest of the match. after fallins 1st ball in the 1st innings, he made amends for that in the 2nd. he bludgeoned 95 from 275 deliveries. four of the next 5 batsmen batted fluently. stuart law made a good century, there was a nice little innings form loye,49 . hodge had a bad start to the season, getting 2 and 3. in the end, glenn chappell was unbeaten on 36, a very patient innings, with flintoff unbeaten from a cameoic 34 from 56. the match ended in a draw, but it was a good way to start the season for both teams. |
