To answer a few questions that may spring up;

- You will need to start a new MM game for the MM updates to take effect
- At the moment there are no plans for further updates from the studio

Not yet, the update is currently with Microsoft and Sony for testing and it is them that will determine when the update is available on XBL and PSN.

Is the Bernabaue and other dlc now fixed so it no longer informs you that it is out of date no matter how many time you download it ??
And also will all my edited stadium names be lost after the update has been installed ??
Thanks.

Is the "Game session no longer available" error fixed with the update or is it still an issue with the servers?

How long is it going to take to resolve this?

what of the accomplishments obtained with MM for virtual pro and trophies?
will those be wiped clean or will they remain?
is it possible to restart ones stats so that they reflect our progress without the DC problems with psn?
cheers for any info

Thanks heaps for fixing these bugs. But there are still some others to iron out.
If you do make a third patch (hopefully you will), could you please fix the weather in MM? It's annoying and unrealistic that it rains 90% of the time in England! PLEASE let us choose what weather we want to play in!

Hello,

Will the new update include gameplay improvements or any technical issues? I was thinking about the goalkeeps issue (he can easily be lobbed, he is too far in front most of the time). Thanks!

Thanks for addressing these issues EA. Should make MM a lot more playable. Just to confirm though, the patch will not be fixing the bizarre weather conditions and time of day in MM matches?

Once the updates are approved and they go live, presumably Live Season will then be available to purchase?

Once the patch goes live will the DNF% for users be reset? Mine is currently at around 10% having been disconnected through no fault of my own on various occasions - some people on my friends list have DNF ratings of 100%!

Would be good to all start from a level playing field.

Oh and I forgot I wanted to say something about this too :
Quote:
Update: A player’s form ...does not affect physical attributes.
I like this and I can't wait to see how that impacts the game. That much faster and stronger, or weaker or slower, did not make much sense.

That said form is tied to stamina. An out of season player can not run as much through 90 minutes as he does when he is mid season for instance. And this change happens without them swapping their bodies with anyone in perfect shape.

Form in this game now becomes more is he in the zone, does he have the touch on the ball day, which is very real as I've seen my own team win and lose games all depending if the players in form actually had the touch with them as well that day. Mostly they do, but it's amazing how often footballers get up on the wrong foot in the morning even though all their stats, if they had any, would point up.

Anyway I see that it's hard to recreate this in a game where dynamics such as a bad night's sleep could have more impact on a game later that day than recent achievements on the pitch, but please do experiment further on the physical impact of form versus how friendly you are with the ball for this version of FIFA and/or for 11. One should be able to use the pre-season games to work your squad into good shape, and then essentially maintain most of it through the season with comers and goers.

In real life you of course have a 2nd team or reserve squad to give them match training, and since we don't have that in FIFA, perhaps you should either raise the norm bar to simulate that there was such activity, which you may have done in this patch, but most importantly if it's still based on 5 games then I would suggest the double to allow a more wide rotation program for us managers.

That's all I think, thanks again.

OK thanks so much for this. Sounds like manager mode should nearly completely be good.

Hi PWride

As you mention that there are no plans for a further update at the moment, I'm assuming the feedback we leave here will mainly be taken into account for FIFA 11 and/or a World Cup game.

With that in mind, I have a couple of (hopefully constructive) suggestions for the team's approach in general:

1. It would be great to get a lot more communication between the devs and us post-release. Before the game comes out, there are plenty of blogs and dev diaries discussing new features and so on, which is obviously great - it's always exciting to read about the new stuff.

Unfortunately, once each year's game is released, this info almost dries up. Obviously this year there have been problems with servers and so on which have taken up a lot of time, but getting feedback on some of the more obvious bugs and if/when they're going to be addressed would really help to iron out a lot of the tension we see on these forums. Just a statement saying "We're aware of xxx and we're looking at it" would be good.

2. Please, please consider having some sort of beta (closed, most likely, and maybe under NDA) and/or wider testing for next year's game. There are still many problems and features in the game that aren't working as promised, and honestly it seems like a lot of these would have been caught and fixed if more people were playtesting the game.

This is less about gameplay style (speed, goalkeeper behaviour and so on) and more about things that just aren't functioning correctly. One perfect example is the weather in Manager Mode: yes, we now have various types of weather, but the problem is that the same weather (or night/day) is repeated in every game rather than corresponding to season or region. Things like this might seem minor, but they add up and can mar the experience of the game overall.

I really think that by addressing these two points, the FIFA-playing community would be a lot happier in general. You obviously can't please everyone all the time, and there will always be people who want specific boots for their favourite player or what have you, but I feel these are the two areas which could undergo the most improvement for the FIFA franchise.

Thanks for letting us know about starting a new MM. This would've been a real pain if I had carried on mine; glad I didn't now! Bring on the patch!

P.S. I hope it doesn't affect the stadiums assignments. Can you confirm if it changes them all please?

Are the updates listed the *only* things that will be fixed in the patch?

There seems to be a number of issues missing, such as the Assistant Manager moving your team around without permission and players refusing to sign contracts.

So are there any updates for people with a virtual pro as this below had happened to me -

I start up the game and my VP is in the arena like normal, I then go to the VP bit on the menu to see what accomplishments I can do next and It goes straight to create a VP.

I go back onto the arena and rooneys there! Checked my MM and my VP is still in the game with the star above his head but when I press start the accomplishments bit is not there and I'm in a club and now it goes to create a VP again even though my VP is clearly on the game.
