Default Patch Please!

I have gone to the effort of bringing the various threads that have laid dormant on this forum to the front page - those of people who have some unresolved issue with this potentially great game! A little "bump" to these threads.

I have tried time and time again to get the attention and support of other forum users, the moderators - and yes, even the great and mystical beings that are known as EA.

This is yet just another attempt from a mere mortal to get that most illusive answer that we have all been looking for - no not the meaning of life , the universe and everything (we all know that is 42) .

I want to know when EA will patch this game (for PC users).

Thank you for your time, patients and anything else you want to give!

Paul

P.S. No rude replies please - I blush easily.

Once again I have tried to highlight the patch issue by popping relevant threads to the top of the list.

Come on game players make a noise about this.

When they eventually release DS2 it may be your turn to have game glitches/bugs which again will be left unresolved by EA!

Make a stand now and stop the "I'm alright Jack" mentality.

Paul

Problem is though that sadly most EA games have had problems like this before PaulG44, some problems are just left as they are.

Also alot of people have already complained and asked for a patch, sadly the moderators on this forum haven't either been given any information on any patch or they're unable to say anything to us.

Still, there's nothing wrong with holding your thumbs for a patch.

This is weird, it seems to me that EA are doig a very bad job with certain PC titles. I'm mostly active in other game forums but on EA, I'm mostly active in Dead Space and Mirriors Edge, and it seems that PC games don't work as well as they should anymore. This is why I buy my games on consoles nowadays. At lest they work. EA and other companies really have to sort these things out.

I think EA designs all it's games for console and lazily ports them over to PC. Consoles are where the monies at anyway.

True. I can see that happning nowadays. I remember when it was the other way around, whem they were made for PC, then ported to a console, but now consoles can nearly do what PCs are ment to do, which the expection that they work on console. lol.

I don't own Dead Space however I am thinking of buying it would that be a good idea? What's exactly the problem with the game, I don't understand?
Anyways im a PC gamer and to be honest most games do not consist of problems.
Buy Crysis Warhead and you won't experience problems with that game trust me! Or buy Tomb Raider Underworld and actually as a matter oh fact to be very honest with you.

Tomb Raider Underworld has been voted the best game on PC platform higher rank satisfaction then the PS3 and xbox 360 version, would you believe it!

if you don't believe me checkout the Tomb Raider official eidos forum site.

Just saying because I know that PC games are not problematic if you have a decent PC...

That probably is true for the most part, sometimes though a game is designed and is stable on one system but is not stable on another equally high spec system.

There are a few issues in dead space though that are not to do with poor systems.

I highly recommend dead space though, it is excellent. Reminded me of the good old days of system shock.

Hello all. First of all I'd like to thank you for posting your feedback on Dead Space since release and I hope you have enjoyed the game on the whole. We have pushed for an answer on your behalf regarding a possible PC patch; unfortunately there are no current plans to release a PC patch for Dead Space at this moment in time.

It would probably me more effective to flood EA customer support with complaints.

http://support.ea.com/

Even if you think that submitting a report alone is pointless 100 reports makes some noise. Don't let them put you off either, they'll probably try to redirect you in circles.

I have to agree that this is nonsence. EA should either make a patch so that these games work on a PC, or refund the people who bought them on the PC. A great way would be to protest in the way that Oroibahzathingy... Shodan said. At lest you guys can show them your angry, so long as you don't swar or anything. I'd just get it for a console if I were you. It'll work, trust me. ^_^

I have had this game since it's release in October. It's absolutely disgusting that EA were legally allowed to release something with as many problems as this and the fact that there has been no patch made available to PC users is just an insult from EA. I will never buy another EA game in my life.

That's one more customer you won't be getting EA.
Thanks for nothing.

I agree that EA have made faults, but you should do what I do and buy it on a console.

I had both a ps3 and X box 360 as well as several top of the line pcs. The graphics are so much better on pc , that I can't force myself to compromise with a console . For all of you who have 3 year old computers and an x-box 360, I can see why you are just as happy playing on a console, but , take it from me PC is the "console of choice" for the discriminating. The pc world though is filled with ppl that won't accept being "spoonfed" what they can and can not do. This immediately puts us at odds with Developers like EA and Ubisoft who love a docile public who is easily satisfied

I have a PS3 and Xbox 360 (and a Wii), as well as a PC, and I chose the PC version for control preference reasons. I'm not fussed about the graphics being better in the PC version, but that is a bonus I suppose.

For the record, I didn't have any major problems with the game, and I really enjoyed it. Nevertheless I have been quite outspoken about the problems others have had, and are still having, with the game (on the US Dead Space EA forums). Releasing the game in a state where so many people have little chance of playing and/or enjoying it is bad enough, but to fail to address these technical issues - six months on, and counting - is totally unacceptable.
