Hi. I just purchased and completed this game and I LOVE IT! Thank you very much for an excellent game. Incredible graphics. Incredible story. The story is much more immersive in my opinion than lots and lots of other games. The pathos the story makes you feel for the guy at the end (coupled with the awsum expression on his face) is nothing like i ever felt in a game. the character modeling and voice acting is tops. The action is inovative and much better than other shooters. The whole idea of dismemberment made a real enjoyable combat experience. You were not just "running and gunning" like other games. Freaking nice job on the Hive Mind ending! Luved that beast
. Music? Wow. Nice music.Now I am a top notch fps player and I love fps, so I am not some ignoramous. I think some of the posts here are too harsh in attitude. They are correct in what they say, and I think you should listen to what they say as they are good points, but I don't think these issues stop this game from being awsome. To each their own opinion and that's mine. Some things I personally would like to see improve in next game are: The mouse control. Too sluggish and floaty. Now I understand why you did this when the Leviathon tentacle grabs you, as that's realistic disorientation, but when i'm just standing there trying to aim at a necromorph i have to fight a bit with the mouse. I have a top notch rig so it wasnt rig performance. I learned to deal with it however and had a nice frag fest. Would be nice to see it more responsive. The save slots. I love to save many points in the game and I ran outta slots. Would be nice to be able to save as many as you want and also to be able to type in a description. Would be nice to have a dodge move like a jump, quick dodge, or whatever. The guy moves so slow and coupled with the mouse movement made it difficult at times for me to use the full extent of my fps skills. I hated the fact that when you are shooting you can't run! Makes it hard to pull circle strafe moves on your enemy. That is when you move in circle around opponent while firing steadily at it. Difficult in this game. It is frustrating for us veterans who can use these skills in other games to not be able to use them well in this game. I understand it's difficult to make a game that runs on pc and console, so hopefully you can get around the issues. Like I said I worked around the problems and had a blast of a good time. There are other things I could say but they've already been said, but the above were the main peeves for me personally. I really only consider them minor hassles and I enjoyed this game royally and so glad i bought it. Excellent game.

new thing for daed space. a new wiew mode.. the mode over the shulder is no good. must be 1 wiew or 3 wiew... atleas the option to change wiew position. this is the only game whit no cheats. shoud make a new versjon whit the ability to cheat... make and upgrade whit the standard cheat modes. GODLIKE/IMORTAL. unlimited ammo. and more guns
None of my friends like the game. keep to the standard game making. dont start making new commands and key funktions. all other games have a standard use for game. but this game have one all to him self. the wiew is bad. the keys are all wrong. even the mouse use is bad. point one way and he goes the other way. atleast have the invert mouse and Y invert so one can change it to its liking DEAD SPACE IS THE SUCKIES GAME EVER CREATED |

I own Dead Space for PS3. So far it's been mostly a very enjoyable-yet tense-game. I love the weapon design (nothing like super extreme common weapons), and I love the ambient that's created within the music, sounds, colors and objects of the places.
The one thing I would recommend if you guys decided to release a sequel and/or prequel (for PS3, PC and 360) would be to add riddle and puzzle solving situations that really encourage the player to think for himself. For some reason, horror games nowdays have lost most of that touch, which it tends to give a lot of more depth in terms of difficulty and the psycological factor. I think this could be perfectly applied with an engineering approach. Don't fall for the "a lot of action and little or nothing of psychology" approach. The best horror games that I've played are great because they recognize how to manipulate players emotions without showing too much. Looking foward for another Dead Space that comes out on the PS3. I really love Dead Space. It is my favorite single player game this generation so far. The atmosphere was very well made and the jump scares really worked on the first playthrough. this is the first single player game in a long time that I actually completed twice. The only gripe I had with the game was not being able to reload ammo straight off the ground. I hated having to juggle between dropping items and picking up new ones just to reload a weapon and pick up the item I just dropped. Everything else was excellent.

I'm going to make this short but sweet...
This game is a great example as to why we need more and new IP's, this game (while taking alot of its story from the film event horizon) is just beyond amazing due to its beautiful use of lighting, setting (once again not original) and I must say, the suit that they have designed is really iconic and orignal. Also the game is actually scary, which unlike Resident Evil which has gone down the roots of action/horror aka scary game for lalalalalalas. Overall I loved this game, and cannot wait till the sequel next year (hopefully) |

There is one simple, simple thing that I think is missing;
Patching! Otherwise, phenomenaly great game! As long as the listening to the forums get's better, and patches will be made, I look forward to a (hopefully) great sequel, if it ever comes around, and a great future for this genre has already begun. - N.T. PS: I did make a huge complaint about what there should be done to support the PC users more. Look around the forum and you know what I mean. Anyway, I decided not to waste your precious time, dear forum user, and deleted my (about 3-4 times as big as this) written text. Regrets - maybe. Hope for a 'not-too-busy-ear from the devs to pay attention to this text, yes. So long my fellow EA customers! Last edited by nic-las-han-sen; 01-08-2009 at 01:41 AM.. |

Sorry to say but i only lasted an hour and a half with this game.
Great art/visuals and sound, but terrible characters and resident evil weird baddies just don't work anymore. lalalala weapons.. But it has a lot of potential. |

Most of the times i dont play a game to the end most games don't have a story that can keep you interested for very long.
With deadspace i found it hard to lay down my controller (xbxox360) my complements to all the people who made this game a reality. I like SF very much als movies like aliens and event horizon but most developers dropped the real SF setting but you didn't. I realy hope that a second game is made!! keep up the good work! Best regards a fan from the netherlands |

I've just bought this game (for the wii) and haven't started playing it yet (I don't have the time, and I'm aware that if I start, I won't be able to stop, lol). Can I use hand canons with the controls?

I purchased this game just last week for £12.99 and thoroughly wish I hadn't. Project Eden had better graphics, controls and gameplay (that game was released in October 2001!). What a waste of money and not even a patch to correct the shoddy mouse aiming system.
Do you realise this is a PC you released this game on, EA? Yes, there are still plenty of us with PCs who game or are you trying to kill us off in preference we spend more money on consoles? Ps. Carllina, I'm not sure what level you're stuck on but googling 'Dead Space walkthrough' should bring you up with some tips. Here's one link for you to start off with: Game Faqs. Not impressed I am afraid, how do i get rid of 'are you sure' messages. they are so irritating. i am not a child, if i want to quit the game i do not need some 'are you sure' message. why cannot i customize the keys? game might go back.
