Not registering FIFA 10 Virtual Pro Accomplishments in semi pro?

I've been playing the new FIFA 10. Its been fun, but I think that I have a problem. The game says nothing about not being able to gain accomplishment playing your virtual pro in "pro seasons" at the semi-pro level. It says that the best way to gain and keep your virtual pro form is to play in the professional and world class levels or playing online matches. So when I scored a hat trick in semi-pro using my virtual pro, it did not register it as an accomplishment reached! Of course this has happened a couple of other times even when I was playing at the professional level in pro season. Does anyone know if you can or can't complete new accomplishments playing at the semi-pro level on FIFA 10?
