Default Columbus Crew

Columbus just won the Supporter's Shield (most overall points in MLS) for the second straight year. They also won the MLS Cup last year and will certainly be favorites to win it again this year.

This was accomplished despite many difficulties throughout the year. There were key injuries to many of their players, international breaks, a new head coach, and participation in the group stage the CONCACAF Champions League. They are the only MLS team to advance to the knockout round if the CCL. In fact, they were able to clinch the Supporter's Shield and a place in the knockout round of the CCL on a schedule of 10 games in 31 days at the end of this season. They easily have the best roster depth in MLS.

Yet somehow the Crew are only rated 2 stars - the same as any other team in MLS. Players like MLS defender of the year, Chad Marshall, are severely underrated.

If EA needs help rating MLS players, I can certainly offer assistance rather than just criticizing. I know MLS isn't a popular league, but I'd still like it to be accurate.

Database Editors Wanted!
You could sign up for becoming a Data Rewiewer for MLS there.
Then you can send feedback about MLS teams/players and discuss team and player ratings in the MLS

It's tough to say whether or not there should be much descrepancy in the ratings of the teams. That is just the way the league is set up (mind you, NY made it to the cup final last year, and then this year.....)

And I don't think any team quite deserves a three star rating, frankly, because I don't think any of us can boast 16 players that would warrant that.

And I don't have the game yet, but are all the teams rated with two stars? As for the Crew specifically, they could probably warrant a 2.5 rating or so, with GBS, Rogers, Gaven, Ekpo, and Marshall.

Right. That's exactly what I was thinking. There is a reason Columbus has been top of the league the past two years. I mean, how often does this happen? We deserve at least a little credit!

I need to look more closely at the player ratings when I get home to see what else could be done.
