IMO Lucas is a good player who does a decent job without being outstanding in that he tackles well, has a good engine and is a good passer, the only criticism i have of him is he could be a little bit more adventurous with his passing, would you agree with that assessment.

i cant see how these ratings are right...reina (best keeper in the prem), johnson, benayoun, aurelio and insua should be higher

however carragher should be lower.

Would agree with most of your statement apart from the bold. I think Lucas one fault is his position and tackling. If he can sharpen up on them i think he would be a better allround player.

Give it a rest. We've already had people on here slating Carra because of his age and own goals. Carra is a top defender who is probably the most consistent player in our side, shame people can't see past his own goals and age though.

i can see past his own age and his own goals, from what i've seen the past 8 games or so hes knowhere near 84 more like 82. agger should be 84 when hes fit hes our best cb. you're clearly someone whos living in carraghers past and doesnt want to admit that they guys losing his ability. sure hes looked better this past couple of games but the guys got no attacking talent what-so-ever and insists on hoofing the ball

No attacking talent? isn't that what we have Agger and Johnson for in defence?

Carra might be getting on abit age wise and granted has probably lost a bit of pace but he can still do a job at the back and put in a decent tackle. I think one of his key traits is his organization skills. Take that away from the defnece and you will see how much we struggling at the back.

Quite a few times he has put in a tackle and concede a foul or a pen. I'm aware of him being able to put in a tackle its the skill of it that i was trying to point out to you.

It may appear that way but to be honest I thought the Ref was unfair to him the other night, he was penalizing Lucas even when he made a decent challenge or was that just the Kop being biased towards our player?
