Is C. Ronaldo better than Rooney?

I've been stating for years that Ronaldo had more class than Rooney. Even though Rooney is a great player.

After this season do English supporters agree that C. Ronaldo is pure class?

Yes he dives and whines alot but for my money C. Ronaldo brims with sheer talent. And he has finally silenced the critics.

So can we please see Ronaldo with a higher over all rating than Rooney please?

The problem with this arguement is although I hate the little S***e Rooney, he is better. Rooney sacrifices himself for the team where as Ronaldo is greedy. Take Rooney out of Man U and put him as the star of the team then he will shine. Rooney should have never left Everton, how can you shine with greedy players who all want to be the star?

Anyways, Rooney does deserve some credit, he's head and shoulders one of the best players in the EPL.

...but Ronaldo is world class and the best player in the world, I think he should get a 92 atleast.

Ronaldo should be 93, 42 goals in a season.

Ronaldo definately deserves to be higher then Rooney, he scored more then double the amount of his goals.

One good point there... Rooney isn't the biggest start there, but he sacrifices himself 100 %, and he isn't the guy you'd like to run into while playing, but he doesn't dive, and he doesn't whine as much as Ronaldo...

since finishing won't be a primary attribute for a winger (I don't think it will ever be), he'll lose some there...

I hope you blokes understand that Ronaldo is being played as a striker while Rooney is being placed as a winger.

So even the great Sir Ferg knows that Ronaldo's class is best served as a front man.

Just food for thought. The players position arguement falls in flames when you take this into account.

Ferg plays him as a forward because he wanted to make it easier for him to break the record and get goals.

Ronaldo is definitely the best on the wings like he did against Chelsea. Beating defenders, making passes, sending in crosses.

Because of the roll Ronaldo is playing, Rooney isnt played in the striking position really, hes played either midfielder or just behind Tevez, meaning Tevez will score more than Rooney normally.
Ronaldo's greedy, and Capello has told Rooney to be greedy for England, itll bring the best out of him.

It's true, but people usually have a hard time coming to grips with their own insecurities. But, if you look at it...Rooney isn't the player people thought he was, and Ronaldo ended up being the player nobody thought he could be. You likey?

Rooney sucks OK.

The English media found that talking about Owen was pointless now so they switched to Rooney. He is class. but there are at least 50 players in the world better than him.
