Default How come?

Hy guys!
I bought a new computer last week ( CPU Q6600 2.4 Ghz , overclocked it at 3.0 Ghz , Sparkle 8800GTS 512MB/256Bits , using the G92 chipset and 4 Gigs of RAM ). It works fine in almost everything , except Crysis.
I cannot run it perfectly at 1280x1024 , with everything set to very high
I'm not the smartest one from the block , but I think it should run fine at that resolution with those details.
Why is that? Is it normal? What should I do?
Thx for the upcoming answers.

Hello mate, If you read the readme.txt file that comes with crysis it stated that reducing the resolution does not always increase performance, with your specs i would recomend medium settings, ive just got a G280 and cannot run in very high smoothly, i can run High with my set up perfectly smooth around 60FPS, by the way whats up 3dmark06 score

If you get 15000+ you can run it on high im my expirience

if you get 20000+ only then try very high

They are mods out there to make it run, but without the mods stick to medium
