Default Crysis Patch 1.2

The second patch for Crytek’s highly-acclaimed Crysis is now available! Recent recipient of the “Outstanding Achievement in Visual Engineering” award from the Academy of Arts and Interactive Sciences and “Best Technology” award from the Game Developer’s Conference Awards, Patch 1.2 continues to tune and improve what was already one of the highest rated games of 2007.

Crytek is committed to continuing their support of the community, and CEO Cevat Yerli is driving the team towards attacking the Crysis community’s most wanted list. Stay tuned for more information.

The main improvements in Patch 1.2 include tweaks to multiplayer, mod support and balance of weapons, AI and vehicles, including:

• Added mod loader to main menu
• Increased damage of most player-fired weapons and decreased damage of most AI-fired weapons
• Added auto team balance
• Added grenade indicator for enemy and friendly team
• Added additional audio feedback (headshot/body) on bullet impact
• Fully implementing Crytek’s internal anti-cheat-solution
• Added numbers to energy bar in PowerStruggle for quicker reference
• Added team colors to kill/death messages
• Team killed players no longer drop their weapon
• Improved vehicle handling under braking and boosting
• Greatly increased AAA damage vs. VTOL and Helicopter
• Reduced collision damage for players hit by vehicles at lower speeds
• And more!

Crysis launched in November and was one of the most highly rated games of 2007. In addition to the recent accolades from the AIAS and GDCA, the game also won Game of the Year and Action Game of the Year from PC Gamer and the Best PC Game of 2007 and Best First Person Shooter of 2007 from GameSpot. Crysis has also received special awards for Technical Achievement from GameSpot, IGN, ShackNews and SpikeTV, and was also recognized as being one of the Top 10 Games of the 2007 by Wired and The New York Times.

I wonder if they fixed the bug where it won't fix on a $2,000 machine.

I've found a bug allready. The tires at the back of the humvee's are missing in the first mission.

Glad i'm not the only one.

All hum-vees in the first mission are missing both back tires. Only just got to the second mission, so can't confirm yet if its JUST the first one. Only Hum-Vees so far, the other pick-up trucks look fine.

This wasn't a problem in 1.0 or 1.1, so its definately a new 1.2 bug.

Vivacexfx, did you start a brand new game or reload a previous savegame? For me it was the later

Orion24, did you start a brand new game after installing 1.2, or did you retry an old existing save game? Did you only try the first mission, or are Hum-vee's back wheels present in later missions?

Also, this doesnt happen straight away. When the Hum-vees drive in they generally have their wheels. Then you go have a firefight and turn away. When I come back both back wheels are missing. And no, this isn't a case of tires being burst, we are talking about the whole wheel missing (Lol). When you get in the vehicle you can drive normally like they are still there.

Vivacexfx, do you have a similar experience?

corestandeven, thanks for the more detailed explanation - it would be great if anyone else who is experiencing this issue to let us know if it is the same as the above.

Yeah right, I finally saw the missing wheels after reloading an old savegame from version 1.1. Starting a new game does not show this problem for me, neither reloading a save that was made with v1.2

Ok, thanks, figured it might be something odd like that. When I get home i'll start a new game.

EAUK_Adroit, i'll let you know the outcome.

Are the rear wheels missing when starting a new game using 1.2 as well as / or when you load up a save from a previous version (1.1 or base)?

From everything iv'e seen on other forums it only happens when you load a game from 1.1 patch and starting a new game will solve it, wierd

Confirming this also. Started a brand new game after 1.2 and have had no 'missing wheels' problems. Reload an old 1.1 game though and the problem is there.

Default Recovery Mission not working right?

Something i've noticed on the second mission. Not sure if this is a new 1.2 issue, or a general game bug, as I havent got here before.

<POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR MISSION 2>
*
*
On the Recovery Mission, I got to the village and went to the Command Post. The 'secondary mission' did not trigger when I went to the control room, but the hostage marker was present. So I saved the hostage in the school, and killed the 2 tanks that followed after the cut screen. But, even though I got a "Mission Completed - KPA tanks Destroyed" the Secondary mission marker in the command centre was still active. Also in the Mission screen it still had the mission to rescue the hostage, despite the fact I already found her. When I went to the command centre marker (the room upstairs) nothing happened.

After aimlessly running around the village for 30 mins trying to find if i'd missed something I decided to completely restart the level. This time the Secondary Command Post mission dialog fired when I got there, and the hostage marker in the school appeared. I then killed the tanks as before and got the 'extraction point' mission come up no probs.

Highly frustrating, but also worrying. I dont relish the prospect of going through a whole mission again later in the game only to find after all my hard efforts an objective is borked and I have to restart.

Anyone else have issues with the Recovery Mission? the only thing I can think off is you HAVE to do the secondary mission first, then the hostage, then the tanks, in that order. Otherwise the mission goes wrong.

Glad we found a work around for this one. Alas a bit too late for me tho. I'd already dashed out and bought a set of locking wheel nuts .
Not had any other mishaps as yet apart from the sound issue here Sound issues - Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

Nice to see you don't end up in the water when exiting a boat now tho
