Second level won't end, well for me

Just started playing this and I got to a point where I shot loads of people in a school blew up a petrol station, rescued a hostage and have to blow two tanks up, blown the tanks up, ran around like an idiot and shot everyone in the village and it won't let me go any further am I going to have to start the game again. If I go back into the room with Psycho and the hostage he just blocks the exit after a minute or so and I'm boiling in my own wii with frustration.

Follow the up stream, there should be a pathway that leads to a waterfall.

l had the same problem.
