Default Crysis Warhead requires CD in the drive?

Hi, I want to get Crysis Warhead but before I do I want to know if the retail version of the game requires the CD to be in the drive when you play single player or online.

If it requires a CD in the drive I will buy it on Steam maybe.

I hate changing CD's

Thanks.

You have the retail version and it doesn't want the CD after installing?

Nope, you don't need to enter your CD in. That's why Crysis Warhead has the DRM security in up to 5 installations only, but if they run out you won't be able to play, in which case you'll have to ring EA tech support.

Both Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars run without needing the installation CDs, so you don't have to worry about swapping CDs.
And mines original copy too, I play the game Crysis Wars online. Its much easier and no problems with installing the patches all smooth.

But you have to make sure you have a good graphics card and power supply, Crysis is a really spec hungry game that eats up a lot of electricity, so be aware of that.

What about the Steam version, does that also have the limited installations?

Yes, the steam version also has the limited installs from what I see its the same. Here's some evidence, if you don't believe me.
Steam's Crysis Warhead Copy Protection FAQ - Voodoo Extreme
Basically its better to buy the DVD version of the game then download it because then you don't have to download it for hours you see.
You can straightaway install it.

You don't have to worry about the download limits because once you install it and that's it! Unless you uninstall or reformat your computer then its a different story.

But You won't have any of these problems, people exaggerate the DRM issue a lot on the reviews just to slag off the game. The game is actually awesome and you will not need to install the game any more than once, I can promise you on that!

DRM really brings my interest to buy this game to an all time low.

lol, what does DRM have to do with your interest in buying the game?
DRM is simply a security mechanism so that people don't attempt to pirate the game! It does not make the game any better or more enjoyable..

What does it have to do with my interest?

My interest is to play a game with the money I buy, not to have it come with unwanted software that runs in the background and spies on me.

My interest in Crysis Warhead was never very high and now that I am considering what game I might buy next I take all things into considerations.

I don't know, but I've never come across a software running in the background, nor have I experienced any slowdowns, etc.
I don't know what those reviewers are talking about.

But if your concerned about spies running, you can play the game for several months and then reformat your PC (windows system recovery).
Then you won't have any of that.

To be honest, the game is so great that my biggest dream was running the game on 1920x1200 resolution, its so great, this is more important than my University!!!

My main interest about this game is the graphics, It's amazing how we are 2 years after Crysis came out in 2007 and the only game to come close in terms of graphics is GTA 4.

Well if you're crying on like this over the disc checks in Crysis keep away from GTA 4! You need the Games for Windows Live account, a Rockstar Social Club account and the disc in. Could be the straw that breaks the camels back. Could make you turn into a crazed `phet head pulling all the wiring out your house/hostel looking for microphones and cameras "the man" put there. Most of the people I know who have an issue with the DRM tend to either watch "rude" type vids and have their PC's getting rammed with as much cracked software and bootleg albums/films as they can fit on their hard drives.
