Next year probably. Crysis is released once a year. The newst crysis game is Crysis Warhead. that only came a few months ago.

Crysis 3 may arrive in September-November 2009!

There haven't been any announcements regarding the Crysis series at this moment in time.

Crytek hasn't said that.

All that's happened with regards to consoles is that a version of the CryEngine 2 has been made that works with the consoles. That's all.

By the way let me get this straight! The Crysis series are exclusive to PC only! And only PC Platforms have that privilege of having Crysis! Console is a lalalala machine it cannot handle Crysis as the architectual power is too weak. It can handle FIFA ofcourse because FIFA takes weaker engine power
So don't be surprized why Crysis is only designed for the PC!

Crysis leads up to Crysis 2 and Crysis 3! According to Crytek boss Cevat Yerli the PC FPS game was always meant to be part of a Crysis Trilogy. In an IRC chat Mr. Yerli said: “The game is designed as a trilogy, so you have two more installments to come and the ending [of Crysis] is planned deliberately. But I cannot answer any more questions here please as we want to keep some surprises for you all.”
He also mentioned Crysis’ first patch will be out by the end of November. To quote: “We are collecting up all the user feedback now and planning patches that will address as much as possible as fast as possible. The first patch will be out in 7-14 days”. — From Incrysis, via CVG

Well I guess that will be in 8 months time still a long time left. Because Crysis Warhead was only just release 4 months ago. By logic it would be once a year therefore Crysis 3 will be the upcoming next year.

Whenever it is released (if ever) I have low expectations, a cross platform game will not be able to live up to the expectations set by the exclusive predecessors.

Well by logic its supposed to be II because Crysis 1 was the original and the very first. And Warhead is the 2nd one so its gotto be II.

Warhead was a stand alone expansion though, l would of thought crysis ll would carry on were it left off.

Warhead is not crysis 2 just a stand alone expansion, crysis 2 will start off where crysis 1 ended.

I still have a feeling Crysis 2 is going to let us play a Korean nano-suit soldier so we can own some US Army soldiers

It could halalalalalauppose
But I think Crysis 2 will mainly consist of an even more dramatic graphical improvement! I think that's what's crysis main goal is or to perhaps make the gameplay more dynamic, such as climbing and jumping lol, but who knows.

Or perhaps they may make the levels and missions longer, add new enemies not just the koreans.

Or perhaps they could completely change it and remove all Koreans and start producing different nationality, maybe Russian, Israeli soldiers as enemies, etc You never know!

I didn't come across any game breaking or annoying bugs in crysis or warhead, these games are very polished and quite a smooth game experience with regards to frames per second. Crysis and Crysis warhead are excellent true PC games, the attention to detail is quite awesome. Although i can't find my copy of Crysis but i'm playing the Crysis demo and it runs superb, also playing warhead and so far its so fantastic. It's just a brilliant game, i honestly can not believe that some pc gamers don't like these games and i'm talking gamers with state of the art PC gaming computers.

Edit: But yeah..bring on Crysis 2-3-4-5- etc etc, lol.

Well yes, I too am so, so impressed from Crysis Warhead. I can't stop playing it. Especially Crysis Wars online with other people. Love driving those planes and speed boats.
You know what, I did lose a bit of addiction with gaming, but with Crysis, I feel like a hardcore gamer!!!

I just never get bored of this game, unlike a lot of other games. I also don't understand why others dislike this game. Perhaps this is because they don't have a strong enough PC to run it all high? And can't run it smooth on their machines, which is why perhaps they hate it?

People say that Crysis only has graphics, but its not you can do so many things in the game, not just shoot and kill Koreans, you can drive military vehicles go through some beautiful islands, swim underwater.

I don't get it how this game cannot be fun. Most people actually love it, but apart from a few, infact yesterday it was shown in the guardian newspaper, that's how great it is!

Can't wait for Crysis 2 when it comes in July 2010! This is the best graphical game in the world, no console toy can handle the graphics of Crysis!

Default Crysis 2 nanosuit.

Crysis 2 will have a new nanosuit called the nanosuit 2.

Quote:

When Crynet Systems released the first Nanosuit four
years ago, we described it as “battle armor perfected”.
That wasn’t just our opinion: in a scant two months the
N1 had become the armor of choice for military forces
around the globe. All of which left us at Crynet Systems
with a bit of a problem: how do you improve on perfection?
This time, we perfected the soldier.
Not that we’ve ignored the hardware. Our latest offering
comes with all the bleeding-edge features you’d
expect from Crynet: rad-hardened ceramic epidermis,
dynamic Faraday mesh for unsurpassed EMP shielding,
state-of-the-art countercurrent heat-ex-changers for
thermoneutrality in the most extreme environments.
But the soldier within remains our highest priority.
No matter how sharp the intellect or how great the
courage, the men and women that operate this technology
are only flesh and blood. They can grow tired.
They can quail in the face of overwhelming odds. They
are only human. Until now.
For the first time, combat armor not only protects your
soldiers but improves them: immunizes them against
fear and fatigue keeps them razor-sharp around
the clock, feeds real-time tactical telemetry from a
thousand sources directly into the brain. Crynet has
created something that is more than man, more than
machine: something that shares the strengths of both
and the weaknesses of neither.
Head to Crynet | Systems for more info about the new nanosuit 2.
