Default Crysis Error 1335

hi all im new here and need alittle help.

i downloaded crysis via the driect download from ea manager and installed the game fine np . when i tryed to go onto multiplayer kept saying server error thing. so i went to repair the software just in case my pc had messed up somewhat and it still didnt work.. so i thought what the heck just reinstall the whole thing and see if that makes a difference so i uninstalled and went to reinstall. and well it did during the installation i kept getting a message Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Object~1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. (gasps) With the following options: Abort, Retry, Ignore. Retry seems to let it continue with installation but after about the 3rd time through-out installation that this error makes its appearance, in then stops progressing in installation.

And Ignore, then displays a 'Error 2350.FDI server error' and my only option then is to abort.

I redownloaded to game from the manager but still get the same problem.. ive done a system restore.. downloaded to game again but still the same message. ive tryed to search for answers on other forums but no joy. They just say redownload the game and it should work but obviously that hasnt helped me.

Can anyone help me???

I would advise contacting the customer support team. They can try and help you get the problem sorted. You can find contact details at http://support.electronicarts.co.uk

Okay all who has crysis error 1335 i got it working like this

If you have 2 computers it should work(like your and your brothers comp.)
go to the other comp where you havent tried to install it and copy the corrupt file into an USB storage device from the cd. Then you just have to copy it into the CD-rom.
Then just install it again and enjoy .

sorry if i'm being thick about this, but i have to search the contents of the disk for the cab file. copy that to a usb device on another computer. then copy what into the cd rom?
thanks for your help on this

Hi all,

I'm getting exactly the same problem. Here's what I've tried:

1. Copied disc onto hard drive, tried to install.
2. Returned disc, got a new one. Tried to install from disc. Didn't work.
3. Phoned EA, was told to close all background processes in task manager, and to create a new windows user account, and then copy disc to hard drive Still didn't work.
4. Phoned EA again, was told to install from disc in safe mode, and if that didn't work, to send the disc to them. Realised that it wasn't possible to install in safe mode after the message 'system admin has prevented installation' (or something like that) came up.
5. Wanted to test whether I was just unlucky and had got 2 broken discs. Tried to install on laptop, and it DID.

Can anyone help me out here please?

If you hawe copied all files into your Hard drive, then you remove the corrupt file from there (ex.levels3.cab) and replace it with the file in the USB.Othervise you replace it in the CD.

Default error 1335 (levels3.cab)

I can't believe it, but the USB idea worked. I tried almost every suggestion from this thread and the thread on inCrysis:
inCrysis Crysis Forums / Install error 1335 cabinet file levels3.cab
This is what I did:
1. copy the DVD to the hard drive
2. put DVD in a different computer and copy offending file (levels3.cab in my case) to a USB drive
3. delete offending file from original computer
4. paste the file from the USB drive to where you deleted it from the original computer
5. launch the autoruncd.exe from the hard drive, put in the CD key, etc.

Thank you very much to Gurgle93!

Default Error 1335 Is Not Related To Any Problems With Any Of Your Hardware Or Your Disk.....

check to make sure you DON'T have WINRAR from rarlabs.org installed!!!!

Winrar, the greedy ******* (excuse my language) associates itself with .cab files. Whenever crysis installation is trying to read the .cab files, winrar keeps interferring, thinking it knows better.

Anyway, I kept having this same error when trying to install on xp or vista 64. I kept pulling my hair out; my crysis installation disk is on an external hard drive, backed up from ea download manager so I don't have to redownload when I format.
Anyway, I KNEW the files were NOT corrupt and nothing was wrong with them; so, I was pulling my hair out trying to reintall crysis over and over again, getting the error at different points of the installation. I was sitting there, staring at the cab files, checking them to make sure they were accessible when I noticed, in the description, it said "winrar archive". At This point, I knew it had to be winrar as, everytime something associated with winrar is accessed, winrar interferes.

So, I uninstalled WINRAR and NO MORE PROBLEMS!! I'm sure this is your problem because the Crysis patch is usually in a winrar .rar file archive wherever you download it!!

The reason the USB way might have worked for some is winrar didn't have time to interfere on the jump drive

Default Thankyou for this!!

I went to another store and changed the disc saying I had lost the receipt but needed another disc because "this was one corrupt".

Thank you so much for this piece of help I signed up to the forums just to post how much gratitude I have for you finding this solution.

The file that kept saying it was corrupt was levels3.cab and thats huge so it always takes forever for the installer to get where I want it before it messes up.

Hi,

Just to add that the above fix also works to fix the installation "error 1335 The cabinet XXXX.cab required for the installation is corrupt and cannot be used" error in Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars as well... and sounds like it may work on a host of EA games displaying the same problem.

I went through the same process as above, but with the downloaded version rather than the physical DVD.

By downloading the game onto a second machine, then copying the .cab file(s) in question onto the first machine, in place of the corrupt file, I was able to get the game to (FINALLY) install!

I did have to have a few goes, as I had to replace five corrupt .cab files in all... but the game is now working.

No thanks at all to EA tech support, but nice work from the people on these message boards! )

I have tried it 8 times now and still is not working. I'm getting a different error now tho. Instead of the 1335 error now i'm getting 1311 error.

It stil says that it has something to do with level3.cab tho. everytime i try it it comes up with another eror number.

Maybe i'm getting closer. What is weird tho is when i bought the game it installed without a single problem at all. i had to re-install windows and now it started doing this. I wonder if it had anything to do with that. maybe a registry that is still there or something like that.

I know i'm drawing at straws now but i'm just about ready to give up.

thans anyway guys

What is your graphics card?

You have to make sure that the graphics card you've got supports Crysis/Crysis Warhead or else its pretty normal for it to crash to desktop.

I used to have a problem like this on my laptop about a couple of years ago with Splinter Cell Double Agent. And the problem was that I didn't have shader model 3.0 at that time.

So sure you have to make sure that you have enough shaders on your card, if not your game will instantly crash back to desktop!

I really don't think its my Video card. When I had it installed before it worked just fine.

I have a very good video card. Its a EVGA 8800 GTS with 640 ram onboard. It also runs directx 10 with no problems at all. I did finally got it running again. I thought what the hell I'll try it again and it installed right away.

Thanks for the reply.

You have that right. Like I said before. I bought the game awhile ago and I took it home and installed it with NO problem at all.

I had to format my hard drive and I went to install it back on my computer and then I started to get this error. Din't make sense to me but I'm sure I got it up and running again.

I thank you for your replies.

I had the same error code but in "Company Of Heroes" and I resolved it by updating the Installshield Via "Installshield Update Manager"

I installed all other games I had with no problem at all. Crysis is the only 1 I had a problem with. I got it up and running now so that problem is over until I have to re-format again I guess.........lol.

Thanks for the reply.
