i too am rly keen for a new ea cricket game to come out. cricket07 was really disappointing. heres a few of my ideas:
- must license all international teams, and most domestic teams. - different batting and bowling styles, each with different strengths and weaknesses. - make famous players look real, like in FIFA games. - crowd effects for players, eg quick bowlers getting heckled/cheered by crowd on the boundary affects their performance. - all time best international teams should be unlocked after winning certain comps - Batting: pick gaps more, allow players to glance though midwicket (no game has had that), quick singles! - More realistic fielding - World Supremacy mode: play as your fave international team for 1/2/5 years and try and get world no 1 ranking in tests/1dayers I also like the idea of a be-a-pro mode. kudos whoever suggested it. it would work really well for cricket i think. |

be a pro would work very well in cricket games.. maybe career mode would be great where u can select your player from any domestic team and play a good season and then u can get in the respective national side...if not in good form then again play the domestic tournament...

Yep, exactly.
Even 'create a player'. You can make a virtual 'you' type person and put them in the record books. Amass a nice bunch of statistics. eg; high scores, centuries, fifties, wickets, catches etc.

All of you are going on about International tournaments, but i think what has made EA Cricket games so good is the domestic teams. They should really focus on the domestic rules, i.e. 1 Overseas player in England, this would be better than a too heavy focus on international teams.

Yea, definitely.
I want a domestic manager mode. International would be OK, but you can't buy/trade players for international teams.

i think manager mode could still work for international teams because although you dont buy and sell, you have a large player roster to choose from (if they bring in other strong domestic competitions).
domestic manager is still a must though |

Yea, i spose.
Could be a step though. from starting with a domestic club, then being selected to take on the role as International Coach.

Ashes Cricket 2009 - Xbox 360 - GAME.co.uk
This here is a nice little link my friends! It is a listing of a game called 'Ashes Cricket 2009' set for a July release. It does not say who the publisher is and it is only showing on the XBOX 360 category. It is on GAME.co.uk- the UK's biggest video gaming retailer! This looks very promising! |

Interesting,
looks promising indeed.. Hopefully it is decent ey. Surely it can't get worse than codemasters last effort with the ICC2007 game.

I don't think these cricket games popping up on internet websites are for real.
If they are they will be made by another company other than EA.

The only format that will make a cricket game great will be the wii atm . Wii motion plus controls could make a cricket game possible and it should be looked into. The only major issues with the Wii would be the bowling would be difficult to execute and the batting engine would have to be stop on. However if the batting is spot on it would make this game amazing, you would be able to manuvere the ball and find gaps a lot easier, im sick of the basic generic shots on previous games which always find the fielder or impossible to execute in some cases. Im afraid this will probably just a dream that may happen one day and would probably take longer than Gran Turismo sequels to come out , but we can dream.

Unfortunately EA hasn't got many plans for a Cricket 2009/2010 game. All though, Ashes cricket 2009 is to be released on 28th June 2009. This game will be on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and is to be released on wii later in the year.
