Default Proposed Cricket 2009 proposed stadiums

This thread is a list of stadiums that I think should be in EA Sports' Cricket 2009 (We all know they get released alongside the Ashes)

There was a severe lack of stadiums in the last title, with India, Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand getting only one or two stadiums stopping players to play proper tours, while a whole world cup was supposed to be held in Barbados, a complete farce!

I think more stadiums ranks very high on the want list for the next game so here's my list, a very complete one if you ask me.

England:

Edgbaston, Birmingham
County Ground, Bristol
St. Lawrence Ground, Canterbury
Sophia Gardens, Cardiff
County Ground, Chelmsford
Riverside Ground, Chester Le Street
County Ground, Derby
County Ground, Hove
Headingley Carnegie, Leeds
Grace Road, Leicester
Lords, London
The Kennington Oval, London
Old Trafford, Manchester
County Ground, Northampton
Trent Bridge, Nottingham
Rose Bowl, Southampton
County Ground, Taunton
County Ground, Worcester

Australia

Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
The Gabba, Brisbane
Bellerive Oval, Hobart
MCG, Melbourne
WACA, Perth
SCG, Sydney

West Indies

Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antuiga
Kensington Oval, Barbados
Queens Park, Grenada
Providence Stadium, Guyana
Sabina Park, Jamaica

South Africa

The Wanderers, Johannesburg
Kingsmead Cricket Park, Durban
Newlands Cricket Park, Cape Town
Supersport Park, Centurion
St. Georges Park, Port Elizabeth

India

Eden Gardens, Calcutta
DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai
Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore
Rajiv Ghandi Stadium, Hyderabad
Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

Pakistan

Quaid-I-Azam Stadium, Mirpur
Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan
Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad
Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad
Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

Sri Lanka

Rangiri Dumbulla Stadium, Dumbulla
Galle International Stadium, Galle
Saravanamuttu Stadium, Colombo
Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy
Tyronne Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa

Bangladesh

Sher-e-Bangla Mirpur Stadium, Dhaka
Narayanganj Osmani, Fatullah
M.A.G Omani Stadium, Sylhet

New Zealand

Eden Park, Auckland
AMI Stadium, Christchurch
McLean Park, Napier
Basin Reserve, Wellington
Carisbrook, Dunedin

Zimbabwe

Harare Sports Club, Harare

Ireland

Stormont, Belfast
Clontarf, Dublin

Scotland

Mannofield Park, Aberdeen

Holland

VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen

Canada

Toronto Cricket Ground, Toronto

Kenya

Nairobi Gymkhana Club, Nairobi

Namibia

Wanderers, Windhoek

UAE

Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah

Overall there's 66 stadiums, yes, quite a few you may say, but it would make the gaming experience amazing

That's be nice, but there's not a chance of them including all sixty-six of those stadiums!

they'd probably only had add stadiums in test playing nations, but it's a good proposal.

C'mon, any update on the game admins?

We've heard nothing about the new game and personally I'd like to know at least a small bit about the game

HAs it been confirmed? i havent been here for 6 months or so. is 2009 a def release now?
And i doubt that holland/ireland ect will get stadiums, mostly because teams don't tour there. But more stadiums would be good. Also the conditions need to be tweaked more to suit the stadiums... a lords slope for one! and headingly should swing more, australia grounds should be hard and fast. (i know some of this was true of the previous game, but not enough really. i didnt notice much of a difference batting in England or australia, when really it should be very different.)

Wow, that's a massive list! If you had to condense it down to your top 10 stadiums, what would you pick? It would be interesting if others could do the same too.

There haven't been any announcements about a future EA cricket game at this moment in time - I know I sound a bit like a broken record here but I can't really say much else other than not reply to such posts.

That doesn't mean there's a chance there will only be ten stadiums, does it?

It just gives an idea of what the most popular 10 are.

Well I'd have an Irish stadium.

I can't really choose a top 10 list of stadiums. I don't think people want their top 10 stadiums in the game tbh, they just want more stadiums, considering that FIFA will now have 50+ stadiums, it was a disgrace that places like India and the West Indies were so badly ignored but hopefully now EA know that people want more stadiums around the world and they'll be able to correct it for the next series!

@ EAUK_Adriot: Thanks for responding and it's good to know that admins are taking interest in the next Cricket release

A future cricket game from EA Sports hasn't been announced. I was merely interested in your opinions on the current topic; I could have picked any number, such as top 5, or not have replied at all.

Thanks for the reply ... My statement is based on the past experience. By the way, If there is any Cricket game you mods will be the last one to tell us about it.

Oi, stop *****ing for a second there mate, he just asked for my top 10 stadiums. The mods tell us about a game arriving when they get the info, it's not up to them, it's up to the people above them, they stall giving the info to the mods, not the mods stalling giving it to us. So lay off a second, at least he had the decency to read it and comment

EDIT: I imagine that there will be a new cricket game coming out in 2009 because EA tend to coincide their cricket games with the Ashes series, and then release a whole load of gimmicks to go alongside this series.

That's just another thing I wanted to say, less gimmicks and more solid gaming

I doubt there will be any stadiums from non-test playing nations, which is a shame as i would have liked a Scottish, and Irish, stadium.

you sure know your cricket 'shefellover93' impressive list, unlikely to all be included as they would need both licensing and a lot of time to create each stadium!

Default When Cricket 2009 will be realeased

After such a long wait i think EA Sports should release the Cricket 2009. It is such a long duration that they did not throw any cricket game in the market. codemaster has released Ashes 2009 so, What are the Plans of EA? can any body highlight on this forum.................!
