Default c 07 v blic 07

here's a brief review of both games.

cricket 07

gameplay

not very good, too easy. century stick was a good idea, but didn't do 360 degree shots like they said.

bugs

i could go on for a long time...

presentation

need a better colour on the menu i think.

soundtrack

okay, could improve.

brian lara international cricket 2007

gameplay

quite fun, arcadey in a good way.

bugs

ghost players; the ball going through your pad, the wicket-keeper's legs going through the stumps...

presentation

needs a brighter colour on the menu screen.

soundtrack

only one song, but a nice one at that.

overall

cricket 07: 3/10
brian lara international cricket 2007: 6/10

sorry ea, but codemasters win this one. again.

please comment and review yourself.

They are both terrible games although Cricket 07 does beat BLIC 07 when you use patches from PlanetCricket - Cricket - Games - Forums - Downloads and it beats it by a mile so you get 360 degree shots, AI patches and such but if EA can come up with a good cricket game and not to rely on us to work then it will surely be a good game.

I think the gameplay in BLC07 sucks, it's all odi, I have to say, playing the ashes in BLIC as opposed to Cricket is much worse, Criscket is a simulation, so I have to go for Cricket

I'm torn... although i agree with plyslogsweep mostly. I firstly need test matches (a cricket game without them is blasphomous in my eyes! lol), secondly i prefer a simulation style to arcade, and thirdly the century stick i now see as a must for a cricket game. So i'd have to go for C07 because its the style of cricket game i think they should be making, however i think BL's execution was far better, C07's was atrocious.

As I said somewhere else, if you want a baseball sim, BLIC 2007 is your man! As for cricket, Ckt 2007, patched from here: PlanetCricket - Cricket - Games - Forums - Downloads and check out The Art of Cricket while you're there, it looks as though it has a lot of potential.
