I would like a create a tournament mode so we can create custom tournaments with any team at any venue for e.g. triangular series, one day xi tour etc.
it would be great to create teams from scratch as well instead of editing the existing teams and also the ability to choose kit colours for custom teams and add players frm international teams for e.g Asia XI and Africa XI. it would add a lot of variety and more fun. Animations could also be improved especially for the start and end game scenes as well as improved celebrations for 50, 100 and a hatrick would add much more reality!

1st thing - The bowling - I think that there should be more balls in ODI's that pass the outside edge like when you bowl it in a certain area eg. just outside offstump the batsman will play and miss. Also there should be more lbw's eg. if there is late swing and you get it in the right area the batsmen will miss it and it will hit his pad. Also more of a celebration when a bowler gets a 5 wicket haul or a hatrick.
2nd thing - The batting - firstly, when the batsmen run they run at exaclty the same speed and do exactly the same thing, try and change that. Secondly, i think that the batsmen should have thier own styles eg.pietersen the flamingo shot and batsmen like Chris Gayle are more attacking than batsmen like Ian Bell so the game would be more realistic. Also as mentioned before more of a celebration when they get to 100 runs than 50. 3rd thing - The fielding - I think when the batmen sky the ball it should sometimes split the fielders, drop short or they should dive for the catch. Also i think there should be a drinks break every now and then. Final thing - The commentry - There should be a change in the commentry box every 30 mins and have more than two commentators eg. more people like David Lloyd, Nasser Hussain etc. Ps. It would be good if some of these ideas were put in cricket 08 otherwise there would be no point in writing all of this

The thing is cost of making a game is getting higher and higher .... unfortunatly Cricket and Rugby games dont have big market unlike FIFA or Madden .... Thats why I m not too optimistic that EA will add lots of features and changes in the new game. According to some sources in 2006 Madden NFL made 300 millions, people who are running the show at EA dont have passion for Cricket all they see is which game is making profit to them. Cricket is in the bottom of the line. Dont expect any big changes fot the next EA Cricket game

i have been playing this game for years now and have loved everyone and the changes have been remarkable.
cricket 2007 has been the best yet, although some new feature / improvements can be made. some have already been mentioned, such as: more unique batting / bowling actions, and the obvious changes in graphics and features of the players (looking like who they should look like) Some other improvements could be a career players where you create your own players from stratch and assign yourself to a county. then with each catch / wicket / run you get, you can imprive your playing stats. a final point would be to have tailend batsmen not as good as the upper order. i find that i can still get a good score with a tailender everytime, which in quite unrealistic. such things as poor footwork or timing of the shots could improve the experience of batting with these tailenders. ps - when is cricket 2008 going to be out approximately?? thanks. |

They should put in the 'referral' in the Friends Provident Trophy
You should be able to create your own bowling style (like Tiger Woods when you can create your own swing) Ya know things such as footwork, distance of run-up, force through follow through, hand position ect. and then put the stats in afterwards (spin, pace ect.) I know that people would love that if you had that and the eyetoy cameo maker Also Ea should have loads of more brands for not just bats but for leg pads, batting gloves ect. They should have a create-a-team and do a whole career with your custom club or with a club in the game. Maybe more club leagues and licencing. You could be the players, the captain and the coach (like cricket and cricket captain in 1) The finger grip idea is brilliant!!! I think customisation is very important in a sports game because people would love to put themselvs and their m8s in the game. Also what about a studio, at lunch breaks. Have analysis and models of pundits and all the things sky sports do in breaks (besides special reports of course! ![]() ) I hope ea liked my essay and will listen to my as well as all the other ideasAnd celebration movies when you win trophies

These are good ideas mainly because of the reason that Microsoft and Sony (and nintendo) are forever boasting that there console can handle the maximum. Perfect. We shuld all be able to play cricket as if it were on TV. Still don't think its gonna happen though.

While playing Cricket 07 I realize the gamer should be able to choose final 11 after looking the pitch and weather conditions. In Cricket 07 they ask us to choose final 11 first and then after that pitch and weather conditions are shown. In real Cricket final 11 is choosen based on pitch conditions for example if the pitch is good for spinners I could choose one extra spinner in my squad.

One thing I forgot to mention in the last post is that home team should be able to choose pitch type. If you are playing as a home team you should be able to decide what kind of pitch you want (like real Cricket) however as a visitor you should not be able to choose the pitch !!

I dnt know if it has been posted before but can the mods sticky this post please? there are some brilliant suggestions in this thread and it would be great if the developers went through it before starting the next cricket game project. cheers.

Im not sure if this has come up already bit I'l mention it, HAWK EYE!
If BLIC can get the lisence then why not EA for cricket08? It looked fantastic in BLIC, awesome for the LBWs and especially when the batsmen scored a half century and HAWK EYE was used to show the scoring shots around the ground, fantastic! Also another great thing that BLIC did was use a pitch map to show where the bowler had been pitching the ball during the over (part of HAWK EYE technology I believe), thats also a great idea taken straight from the tv screen and it looked great. EA need to use these little graphical things to make the game a lot more tv stylised. Please! Have HAWK EYE lisence in the next EA cricket game. |

Ability to choose pitches for home matches in both international and county modes should be added. On a subcontinent tour why cant we play as pakistan or india or any other south asian team? We should be allowed to choose any team on any tour whether we r the touring party or at home.

Yeah i agree of the idea, i dont like the gamplay of the current game cricket 07 and 05 they can make it more like brian lara international cricket style or better i do like to play the game but i hate the gameplay manager mode is cool when you get to be a manager of your county and you can manage your team all the way through and they have season and you can sign players and your players from the county can play for england
