Loss of Sound on PS3

Hello, has anyone else had the problem where levels may start without sound, including online play? It seems to be an intermittent problem, and can only be rectified by closing the game and going back in, when it may or may not happen again. Anyone else having this problem, or suggestions to fix?

I have this problem... once... I just looked at the manual today... and theres no problem with gaming sounds.... maybe its the host that has a problem connection problem (online)

No i've had this a number of times with 3 different copys as i thought it was a fault with the copys.
I'll have sound in the menu screen but as soon as i enter a game private or online i had no sound , more times than i can remember. once while i carried on playing the sound just came back mid way through the level.
I think it's a issue with the 5.1 output as it only happens when i've set it up through a amp. when i set it up through the hdmi through the t.v. sound i,ve yet to have a problem.
I have contacted EA support and all they could say was that i may have set up my ps3 sound settings up wrong!!
Can't see it as i,ve got no problems with any other games and movies through the 5.1 ...

It is a known issue, but a patch is unlikely: Does this game get support on the PS3?

If it's known why are the EA support line telling me i may have set my ps3 incorrectly. just say there's a problem.... simple.

So then it isn't a problem with my playstation itself as I was going to send it back thinking it was broken? I have my PS3 hooked up through HDMI and that is where I get the problems, have tried changing the cable to no effect. It's very annoying!

I got to say i haven't had the problem with the hdmi connection as yet and i'm on it most days. contacted EA again and there response was that there is a problem and they will look to resolve it asap.

in there hands now!!

now i'm losing the sound when playing online against friends . we can talk to each other while were in the menu screen but when the map loads in nothing !!! nightmare especially when one of our game's lasted 2hrs 30min. need more online maps too.

im having problems on skirmish and online with freinds and it is VERY ANNOYING

well and truely naffed off to why EA hasn't tried sorting sound issues with the ps3 game yet. looked on other sites and with all the complaints going on a mod said they are now going to look into it . THAT WAS THIS MONTH!!!!!. customer support what support..........................very poor show.

Now it is also happening with the new add on, I really would have thought they would have sorted this problem out. It's very irritating!
