Whenever I try and and log on to a gamerspy account, the error message comes up saying that it couldn't connect to ZH Online. I looked in the support section and have forwarded all of the ports it has told me to, and set my firewall to let ZH do whatever it wants. I've even tried turning my firewall off, as most hosts don't allow firewalls anyway, but that still didn't work.
The strange thing is, i have been playing ZH on and off for years without any problems, and now it's failing. Does anyone know any other reasons that it might be unable to connect, and how i can go about fixing it? |

I host Zero Hour games and wouldn’t tell you not to turn your FW off,
Just refresh Nat,,, If you got Vista, Run as admin once! when you want to go online, I think Vista has got a over defensive Fw thingy that running as admin, sorts out,, Running as admin can also cause problems with drivers for your video/graphics card so be warned!!!! My STARtec MFC

Nah i use XP, but i'll try it anyway. Windows Firewall is off, my router lets Generals ports through and Zone Alarm lets Generals do stuff so i really don't know what's blocking it :S
I perosnally just say no firewall so that you don't get idiots who can't connect to the game thanks to their computer blocking them, i wouldn't mind if someone had a firewall that wasn't blocking Generals. Edit: tried running it as admin but it didn't change anything except reverting the options back to default :\ Last edited by Zeriko; 23-02-2009 at 11:20 PM.. |

I have the same problem.
Have you sorted it yet? I used to be able to log in to Zero Hour, and now I can't. I added ports I enabled it on the fire wall's allow list I refreshed Nat I checked the send delay box Still nothing. |

I had the same problem with C&C3 as well, but i'm pretty sure i've solved them - It was McAffee virus scanner that i didn't even know was on my computer in the first place. It has an access protection option that was enabled, but i didn't disable because like I said I didn't know that it was even there.

Still nothing!
I disabled the resident shield just for the time i tried to log in, but stll could not connect. This is really starting to annoy me now. If I knew what was wrong, but it just shows the same damn message. Unable to stablish a connection... Ho, for god's sake. |
