Default The First Decade

Hi;

I just bought Command and Conquer The First Decade and installed all but C&C Generals.
Started playing Red Alert and noticed that the in game video is very poor and the game graphics are not particularly smooth.
I understand these are really old games but did they not touch up the graphics before they released this compendium or did they just make them Windows XP compatible.

I have an AMD XP 64 4000, 1GB DDR, Geforce 7600 256MB Gfx.

What`s the best screen resolution or does the game auto adjust?

They are classic games but if I new the graphics would be so bad I`d have sticked to playing my originals - yep still hung onto them.

Yes, the games are made XP compatible out of the box (the originals can be made XP compatible very easily). The graphics are just as they were in the originals and it makes no claims otherwise; surely if they had updated the graphics it would be plastered all over the literature and on the box itself!?

A fan patch has been made to increase the resolution of C&C1, the links are in the common problems thread: Common Problems with TFD (Updated 08/10/2007)
