Step 1: Create or Join a Club

To create a club

From the Main Menu go to Xbox Live - Online Game Modes - FIFA 09 Clubs - Create Club



Fill in the fields as required. Remember that your club name will need to be unique.



Once you have entered all the information select Create Club.

To Join a club

To join a club you have to have been sent an invite. If you have received an invite you will see a message icon over your Avatar in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
To access your messages you need to go to the player hub by moving from the Main Menu - Xbox Live - View Player Hub.



In here you will have a message from the club inviting you. Open the message and if you wish to join select Accept Invite or you can Decline the Invite if you don't wish to join.

Step 2: Meet in the dressing room

The dressing room is the meeting place for your team. You can gather here with your fellow team mates, have a chat and wait for others to arrive before starting a game. At this point it is a good idea to discuss where you wish to play and what strategies/formations you will be using.



You can chat either by using a headset or by pressing X and typing in a message. This appears on the right hand side in the chat window.

Once everyone is ready you can press A to proceed to the next step.

A few general rules for the dressing room:

Only the captain should press A
Once there are 3 or more players in the dressing room anyone can press A to continue. It is always best to wait and talk to the other people in the room to make sure that everyone is present and your not waiting for anyone else. As a general rule, don't press A, let the captain sort things out.

Person at the top is captain
In the dressing room the player at the top of the list is the captain. If you wish to have a specific captain then those above that player will need to leave and return to the dressing room.
After a game always allow time for the captain to leave the game to make sure they remain at the top of the list.

Step 3: The Ready Screen
At this stage you meet your opposition who are listed on the opposite side of the screen to you. The chat is merged at this point so you will be able to talk to and hear what your opposition is saying. Try and keep things friendly here although a bit of banter never hurts
All you need to do is press A when you are ready to move on to the next stage. There is a countdown at the top that will automatically move you forward when it runs out.



Step 4: Captains adjust the teams
For everyone apart from the captain you have to wait at this stage but you can still chat to members of both teams.
The captain has access to the team and can adjust the squad, formation and tactics like you can in a normal game of FIFA 09. Once the captain is happy with the changes they set themselves as ready. When both captains have done this you move to the next stage.



Step 5: Select where you want to play
By now you will have hopefully discussed which position you wish to play. This is a first come first served section so be quick in choosing your position. You can still talk to your team mates so you can ask them to deselect a position if you wish to play it.
There is also the option to play as Any which means you can control any player on the field that hasn't been selected by someone else.



Step 6: Play!
When everyone has selected their position the game begins. During cutscenes you can speak to and hear members from both teams but whilst playing you can only hear your own team mates.
Keep to your position, have fun and enjoy!

Step 7: Returning to the dressing room
Once the game has finished you can return to the dressing room. As mentioned before it is best to wait a few seconds for the captain to return first allowing them to remain captain for the next game.

Win games is an easy answer.......i am in a team, and we won many games, even team that play worse than us are ranked. So whats the deal?

how do you get a team into a league, we have played 55 games (30-12-13) and have not been put into a league

It's obviously not just down to winning games since we've won over 20 games and still don't have a ranking.

One thing that has been suggested to me is your individual rank contributes towards the team rank but I'm not sure if there is any truth in that =/

would be nice if EA could put a light on this, they have said something that its maybe auto, but they created the game, so they should know. Even their support department don't know how it works, the answer i got there its not even connected to the question.

min number of people you need for a game is 3 in answer to that question and how the hell do you get your club into a ranked position

I have a question. Me and my team have played 25 games and won 16 of these and some draws, but we aren't ranked (which i didn't expect really, i'm used to this system from NHL 09) but the thing is that we can't see any stats either for the different players (us real persons i mean, not the players in the game). You know, like played games, wins, shots, goals etc.




Have we been playing unranked matches or what's the deal?

yh the no player ranking has been happening to me a few times already. But ive found that if i play 1 or 2 games its goes back to normal

i have a team with plenty of members, but for some reason i have 3 friends who i play online with all the time on fifa and it wont let them accept my invitation due to x box live membership limitations?!! any ideas what this means there all gold members..

When I as captain try to use customized tactics/formations, the team does not use the mentality-arrows. Is this a bug or do I something wrong?

ok i got a team and want to play a game against some1 else how do i arrange to play some other team??

i understand getting all ya team members in the dressing room and all that, but how do you get an opponent ?? thats the only thing i dont understand

just press x to search for opponent when you have atleast 3 team mates in the dressing room its simple

there are arrows you just have to re do them for club games m8
