Ps3 save problem

Hi Ps3 Packed in and i had to get another one so wheni installed burnout paradise to the new one it is still looking for the save from the old one which i could not get. Is there anyway to start again from the start, I have tried to delete the save it makes but everytime it loads up it says i have completed 41% and then crashes after she talks about what you can do in burnout. Any help would be appreciated as i dont understand how it can say i have 41% complete when that was on my old ps3. Thanks Guys and Gals MacR

you may have to formatt the ps3
sounds like a hic up from sony

turn on the power to the ps3 then hold the standby button for around 5 secs till it bleeps 3 times then take you finger off
it should now bring up the sub menu to the ps3 there should be a list of 5 thing s

you could try the rebuild of data to check an see if that works
if not resst back to factory settings
or formatt the ps3 losing all and any data you have on it at the moment once done the start ps3 up as normal then pop in your game it should restart the game from the begining with out no probs

is your ps3 new or was it replaced by sony
reconditioned ?

and one other thing is
is it your trophies for burnout that are at 41 percent ?
cause if it is the trophies are tied to you r account so any time you put the ps3 it will say 41percent at the trophies area there is no way to get rid of trophies that have been earned unless new account is made up

Thanks Jay It was the liscence at 41%. Spent all last night till 4 in the morning and i finally worked out what do do { By pure luck not skill } lol. i had to take out the network cable and start a game without any patches, then take that save, Patch the game then install that save and it now seems to be working fine. Wasnt expecting this nightmare and now have to start from scratch which is cool cause the game is great now for my 102% in about 2 years lol Thanks again

just for future make sure you back your data up tousb stick youll find one for a couple of pounds they are very handy to have just incase
