I have had no problems with the 1.1 patch (tested on 64-bit Vista and 64-bit Windows 7). Make sure that the patcher is pointing to (windows partition)\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\Burnout Paradise with XP/Vista/7 64-bit.
I play at 1280x720/high detail/2x AA on an overclocked Celeron DC E1200 (2.6 GHz actual vs. 1.6 GHz stock) with 3 GB of RAM and HIS HD3450 (256 MB PCIe) on (as I mentioned) Windows 7 64-bit (RTM). Yes; despite the Celeron and the admittedly-shrimpy graphics card, I'm playing on *higher* detail than recommended (and it's still smooth as glass; the detail settings are also higher than I'd use for GRiD).
By the way, the 1.1 patch *will* work with the BP PC demo (in fact, it is required for Freeburm Online in the demo).
