try use in the same user name save data can only be used by the person who created it being your user name on the other hard drive but you should be able to do . ps3 has a protection on it to stopp people selling there game data to other users .
but yip you must use the user name you had on other hard drive .
sounds like you may have created an other account ? .hope this helps .

When you start up a game, the User details are saved to the profile. So My save is "Nutter", now If I was to copy that save to your file "Vokruk", it won't work because the profiles are different. Much like what Jay has mentioned.

Now the part I'm not sure of is if this save file contains the profile name, or a serial code that is unique and randomly generated. This may mean that you could create 100 accounts, all with the same name, but each one may have a different serial codes.

So what I'm going to say is be prepared for the worse. This will sound harsh, but you may have to restart Burnout all over again.

i had my ps3 replaced after the blue ray drive went on it i got a replacement one when i switched it on all i had to do was put my user details in to the ps3 and luckly i had a saved game or back up of data as always just incase .then all i had to do was copy the data .

so this is why i say you need to have the same detailes as before .being your user name and email and so on .

If you have the same account name, settings, tried what has been mentioned above, and it doesn't work, then the only thing to do is to restart the game.

Sorry.

I know it's daunting, but if you have played it before, it shouldn't take as long to get to the same stage as you were before. Matt@Sim_Moves, a regular Burnout poster, lost his game due to a corruption. He managed to get his Elite licence in a few days. This was because he knew all the shortcuts and got the billboards, jumps and smashes to get the better cars right at the beginning of the game. Once you have the Carbon series, the game is alot easier.

Are you using the same PSN ID as on your old PS3 (the saved data is tied to the PSN ID it was created on), and not just the same PS3 "user".

dont you have the email from when you set it up check your pc for that email it should have your detail s there . you realy need to remeber the account you created back then being you own email address you psn id and you user name on the system

be like this

example bellow mind you need yours

system user name on ps3 when start up . { madman }or any thing

email ******** @ btinternet.com

psn id madman

they all must match

or the only other way is to start again .soz man thought of every thing and the only thing it could be is you are not use ing the correct user name or the spelling is wrong you need to think back to when you created your account .

soz man its all i can think off

no thats just incase you start again if you use the hunter calvary then you should be able to complete nearly 40 per cent of the game with that one car .or look for all billboards and yellow gates as this will get you gt carbon _ hawker carbon . .then you wont have any probs owning these cars . any ways keep us posted .ok man
if you do start again then look up www.criteriongames.com
from ther go to help .save {you must be in game to do this } you game data for burn out even if its at the start of game then go under the hood option save game to usb stick then up load it to criterion it will pin point all the yellow smashes and super jumps and billboards then get the maps from them and build youre carbon collection first it should keep you going in the game without too much hassle .and ther s no cost kk.

all i can do for you budd .

keep us posted .
best of luck .
