Too many times, I've been the last guy in the online game who just can't do it. I've spent hours switching cars, dropping into the quarry and driving back out for another attempt, ad nauseam. I've hit that ramp hundreds of times. I've watched all the youtube videos. I've done everything short of buying the toy cars. I'm convinced that you could only do this in years past, prior to patches that have updated the physics, yet somehow, everyone else makes it look easy. Like clockwork, I'll spend one second doing one barrel roll, straighten out, and then freefall with four wheels parallel to the ground for 3.5 seconds more. I know that the laws of conservation of momentum don't necessarily apply, and this frustrates me to no end. Can anyone give me any advice here? The Isuka GT and similar vehicles do nothing for me. Please help!

The way i (actually it was my gf who got it) was actually to "fall/crash in style" rather than attempt some jump. Find a tall drop, hit the boost slide so you hit it sideways and fall down in a barrel roll, you might just make two if you twist and land right.
EDIT: if it helps my somewhat bad description, she was on the track track and fell off down the middle, sort of rolling off the edge that was parallel to her car, and as she fell she managed one.

As part of one of the patches, the cars now level out automatically after one barrell roll. If you want to do more than one roll, you need to push R3 or L3 (can't remember which) in the direction of the roll, and you'll keep spinning until you let go...

dont go so fast then practice up at the beach
try doing 1 roll at a time then build up from ther what car are you use in use the hunter calvery at the beach need a bit of run up then just clip the higher level of the ramp with 1 or 2 wheel s then it should roll . dont worry about the landing as it should correct its self for the landing .

yeah but we shouldn't need to buy those cars to get better barral rolls, the original P12 was the king of rolls! (i'm not to sure about now though since they decresed their stats....)

I don't need any help regarding barrel rolls: my record is a times five, so I'm fairly average at them. I can pull off a times two easily, which is no problem at all. It's just that when I do a random one without meaning to or we have to do a challenge regarding them, it always goes wrong. Sod's law I guess.

try just taking you time then .
you make it sound like you are in a rush when in challenges take it easy line your self up then boost baby . best thing for you to do is take it easy slow down .

My 9 year old son did a double barrel roll about 2 weeks ago on the beach on Big Surf Island using one of the duststorm (I think?) buggies. I watched him do it so it can be done.
And he said he's done it with a toy car he won on the island as well. |

The P12 is the donkey's conkers mate I've done nearly everything in that car, it'll still do 2-3 rolls since the update, I've managed a 4x in the P12 88 special never managed any more than 4 though |

A standard GT flame works fine no need to buy anything, i found the lineup the most important part, you don't need a massive run up just a good line up and then keep steering in the direction of the roll, you should manage 2 easily but 3 is tricky off that particular ramp, hope it helps

Use the Dust Storm Carbon. Climb to the top of the Island construction site. Look for a roll ramp heading in the direction of the beach (North). Build your speed up the clockwise ramp up to this point and then jump the ramp.
I normally start boosting just as you leave the spiral ramp and hit the level roof top. Any earlier than that and it's very hard to hit the ramp right. I've nailed endless x5's of that ramp. Only problem is getting your angle right so you land on the road. There are two buildings either side of the landing zone which have 'invisible walls' around them. It's easy to hit those. Good luck on the rolls... |
