map add-on......

have you ever been to water front? have you ever look at the big long bridge with bits missing to see where it leads? well i have. the island across the water. on a old version of the map, there is a island to the right of the map thats now the offical in game one. that island in the game that im talking about, looks like this from the other map.

it may sound a bit confusing but some of you may know what im talking about. the island used to be the main airport.

i was just making the thread to get it noticed and have it as a add on for the game, becuase im getting abit tired of driving around the same roads, i want somthing more to explore.

anyone agree? please leave your comments wether they are good or bad. thanks

That map was an early version of the game map. Although it looks like the current map plus an island, plus an area to the south, if you check the actual road layout it is very very different.

As you can see, the changes are not just a case of the current map + an island + an area to the south. Most of the city road layouts are completely different as the game has evolved during production...

check the country club roads, for some reason i always notice that change 1st....

Thats a link, but you wouldn't know. I can't get it to just show the link instead of the title of the thread. Oh well.

In addition to this, has anyone else picked up on Atomica's suggestion about "jumping" onto an island?

I've only heard it once, but he definitely said something about snobs at the country club, and followed it up by saying something like "see if you can jump onto their exclusive island". But there isn't (currently) an island in the game...?

It seems that on the original map, there's a small island in the north-west corner. Maybe that's what's being referred to, and they just didn't update the audio after changing the map?

No, this one he is talking about is at the lake north of the dam, little islands.

There are even some online challenges associated with it

4 Player - 15. Island Hopping
5 Player - 23. Carwrecked!
7 Player - 21. Lost
8 Player - 47. The Island

The missing Island is visible though from the coastguard, Angus Wharf, etc.

I said it in the other thread and I will say it here as well.
EA Games will more than likely bring out an add on for extra parts of the map as they do like to milk us from as much money as they can.
