This has been mentioned already but here goes, if anything more requests on the subject might actually make them concider it
![]() First: As much as I love this game, I agree with the ones frustrated about the lack of a retry option. Burnout to me has always been instant and intense action, and 50% of that is lost in the latest installment imo. I mean, if it's ok that cars teleport around the city in multiplayer mode when initiating races, I don't see the problem in them doing it in offline singleplayer. Also, to top that off, an event list on the options menu or map or wherever in which you could select an event and start it immediately would be even better. I'm ok with driving around the city looking for ramps and whatnot, but it gets extremely tedious after a while to go back again after a 5 minute run that left you in second place failing it. Maybe after finding the event it would appear on the list would be a better solution? I haven't talked to anyone while playing online who like the lack of the mentioned functions, and I have some old Burnout Revenge mates who didn't even bother getting this game due to this. Second: Downgrading Traffic Checking so much left me a bit bummed. That's was another thing that made me thing "gah not another slow down element to ruin a perfectly evolved concept! =(". It's like having a cold beer and a couple bacon-pepperoni-ham pizza slices bathed in ketchup for appetizer and dry bread and water for dinner. It's supposed to be the other way around! Or at least it's not supposed to go down so steep. I doubt this will be changed as it would probably out-balance the whole game but I just needed to vent :\ Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with the game, online challenges being my favorite part of it. I really hope there will be more of them on the way through DLC =) But it would be a hell of a lot more fun if certain things were reconcidered. I play games to have fun, not to pass time. Edit: Oh yeah, and the showtime mode thing seems to rely more on your luck than your skill, there should be another way to gain multipliers :\

THis is my first post on this forum folks so be gentle.
I really love this game and it plays so fluidly. A few things I would like most have been mentioned already, speedo, a way to lock the map and retry option. The main thing I would like tho is a updated music list or the option to use your ps3 list. The reason is that I only like about 5 songs out of the playlist. Maybe even add-on for a playlist of Dance, Rap, or pop music. Even the access to the screensaver music.(I can cope with a bit of classical.) I wouldnt mind paying a wee bit for it if necessary. Easiest option tho is access to ps3 music library. One more thing does anyone else think it will take you a lifetime to play this game? lol I will. I find me driving around for ages forgetting that there is races etc to complete. the feel of the cars are just so class! Great game ![]() |

They also said they won't do a speedometer as they think it is irrelevant in this type of game.
Im pretty sure it was in the other burnouts (sorry if i am mistaken) but i cannot see how it is irrelevant. Many times ive raced friends and gone wow im going at o wait i dont know. As soon as i mentioned this to my friend he said about it too. Please just give me a speedometer Other than tht its an awesome game although i still dont understand how to do power parking |

Thanks for your feedback, guys, I'll include it all in my next report.
Personally, I don't miss the speedo, but I know that a lot of you do, so I'll include that too .Power Parking is explained in the thread; http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/b...ies-forum.html Phenom |

On this week's podcast they did say they might look at this. The 360 version has this, but Sony's development kits did not have this feature in time. It is now available, as anyone who has installed the update to Super Stardust HD can confirm, so hopefully Criterion can sort this out in the next update...

Hi,
1. I have the european version of Burnout Paradise and the codes ('WALMART', 'BESTBUY', 'CIRCUITCITY', etc) don't match, are they really only for the US version? If yes, it would be fine to have these cars too or can we unlock them later with the licenses maybe? If not => thanks to do something to have these fabulous cars because even when I take the fastest car I'm far to drive as fast as the Champcar (with NOS), I don't have ANY chances against the F1 ![]() And the Micromania isn't the best car against... 2. The GPS marker was the first thing missing when I drive for the first time 3. The speedometer that tells you what speed your are traveling at is a good idea too 4. The rear view mirror 5. Start a run again when we loose it, because we must every time travel in all the city and around to run it again... 6. The Police car siren!!! That are my ideas, I saw that some wouldn't be made/change but that's my points of view... red-bull666 |

i think some of the ideas in this post are good,
although im not sure exactly what you mean CHIEF by changing the camera to left? =S i do think the camera needs sorting though, i cant see whats coming up infront of me and it gets irritating in some events. the option for turning off the takedown camera would be good as it disrupts the flow of game modes. an optional reset would be nice and a map marker so you can go to the main map, select a point and then its on the micro map so you know where to drive, or the compass comes up and you can use that. navigation by road names alone takes along time to remember. i think that its just little things that need to be tightend up really nothing drasticly life changing. also more cars as DLC would be nice =]

Personally I'm against this sort of thing.
I'm nowhere near collecting all 75 cars, but I would imagine between the 75 they've covered virtually every variation of the car stats (speed, boost, strength), so any new DLC cars would surely only end up as cosmetic enhancements. (I'm more than happy to be corrected on this, by the way!) I've bought all the DLC Tracks / Modes / Weekends for Motorstorm, for example, but have refused to download the cars for the exact same reason. I'm interest in DLC that expands the gameplay, by adding new features or locations, but not stuff like this... Still, I'm not going to spit my dummy out of the pram if Criterion do new cars - they are optional after all. They did say, however, that they didn't want to do DLC that people would expect, so I'd be very surprised to see cars...

Something like that is fine... it's if the DLC was 'just' new cars, then I'd be a bit miffed.

I dont buy cars for PGR 3 or 4 as its silly to pay for new ones but if they added new challenges and burning routes in the process it would make the game last longer and also if they worked like Bungie do with the Halo downloads by eventually making the downloads Free if they dont already start free, i mean i have nothing against spending like 20 - 30 MSpoints on a car, just not like 200MSpoints that Bizzare want.

that would be a much better idea than the reversed controls. i still dont see why a speedomiter is needed though.. its an arcade game, not a realistic game, wouldnt make that much diffrence if you were travelling at 100mph or if you were at 150. The speed is the fun of the game and you dont need a measurement to measure fun. and if they were to keep it realistic, surely it would seem kindof lalalala to be driving at what seems mindbending speeds and you look at the speedomiter and your barely going faster than a sportscar would in real life. I like the streamlined view of Paradise.

What a great game! But there a some little thinks I miss:
1. Playing classic (Mozart, etc) music during the race. 2. Playing your own music (HD) at the radio. 3. Multiplayer split-screen! (I want to win from my girlfriend) 4. Aftertouch takedown 5. Navigate without driving to it For the rest, it's is worth any cents I've payed for it! ![]() |

if you leave the controls alone for a while until your car stalls there is a screensaver effect where the screen starts wondering away from your car an is labellled picture paradise in the corner and it plays classical music then but not while driving unfortunately

aftertouch takedowns werent that great but i agree about the splitscreen multiplayer, its a bit of a bummer having a racing game thats only one player offline.

I'd love to see Ingame messaging added to online games. I know it works offlline but the option isn't there once you go online. Sometimes I don't have the camera on and even if I did I can't hear anyone anyway so ingame messaging online would be a great addition for me.

now, dont get me wrong, i absolutely love this game, but there are a few things that leave me wanting to tear my eyes out and rub monkey lalalalala in the bleeding sockets because they are so annoying.
1) REPLAY FUNCTION! You have created an absolutely beautiful game, and i want to have some crazy crash, and watch it again, and show my friends! (see: skate.) 2) Local Multiplayer! The backbone of ANY Burnout game! get a bit tanked, fire up the 360, and take each other down! why the hell is it gone? 3) Crashing into Water, or a Gorge. When i fall into Water, or into a gorge, chasm, etc, i want to see my car roll/sink to the bottom and become completely ganked in the process! 4) Restarting and Quitting Events! |

Wow im amazed at the speed in which a staff member replied far quicker than any xbox forum where people dnt actually seem to answer at all. Just like to ad that this is an awesome agame and i would pay for different cars if it was purely cosmetic reasons and would love to see film cars although the licening would probably cost too much. I also would be pretty happy if the aftertouch take downs came back there was nothing more rewarding the going o dear iv been taken out , but im takin you with me
