Manchester United came out with guns blazing, Rooney was taking pings at the goal from all sorts of angles, even some that arent on a protractor, with one succession from about 6 shots. This put Manchester in charge and they let Notts know who is boss. Notts wasn't having any of it and without Cristiano Ronaldo on their wing, their right hnd was exposed and naked, Dykes took advantage of this, and often ran the wing and was a playmaker the whole match. In the 26th minute, Birchall crossed a lobbing ball which was headed in by Novo Ramirez for his 25th goal of the season, proving he is in spectacular form. Half time gave Steve Jones the chance to talk to his Notts squad, to expose Manchesters weaknesses, which was difficult. The right wing was our only option as Anderson and J. park were in fantastic form in midfield. In the 78th minute, our prayers were answered when after Rooney took another blind shot well over the bar, over the stadium for that matter, Notts were able to initiate a counter attack. Dykes lobbed it to Bevan who scored a sitter to put Notts in a winning position. The rest of the game was a stalemate, whenever Manchester got near the 18 yard box, Papadolpolous was a road block and consistently cleard it. On one exception however, Tevez made a run in the box and was unfairly awarded a penalty due to Sergio Assenjo defensively diving on the ball. He sunk it in to end the game in a draw. Maybe next time Notts.

The shield is obviously not a highly regarded trophy as both teams came out without much energy. Chelsea had only one good opportunity in front of goal but was gaffed by A. Cole. The 72nd minute proved vital to Notts as Novo Ramirez scored off a corner kick.

The game started with great hype and expectation, the team was tired and Galvan, Bevan and Ibrahim were not at their fighting fit best form. The first half ended with little result and a midfield battle between each team. An inspiring speech by their Manager woke the Notts boys up when in the 51st minute,Kayli set the benchmark for the game with a finesse shot just before the 18 yard box. Aston Villa were able to sneak a few shots back yet Sergio Assenjo provided a one man show when he punched the ball away from a free kick. the 80th minute sealed the deal when Galvin scored off a corner with a volley struck hard and out of the keepers reach.

The game started with Giovani Dos Santolalalalaing a great dribble around Papadopolous, Kayli and Aziz, only to have a shot to be tapped over the bar by Ajjenjo. The corner was taken and Pvelyunchenko volleyed it into the bottom corner, just out of Sergio's reach.

Notts were quick to reply through a simple wall pass from Bevan to Ibrahim which saw a gap in the defence to sprint through, the keeper cleared his lines to dive on the ball, only to have Ibrahim clevery chip it over his head in a world class humiliating goal.

The first half ended with a Tottenham defender being sent off after a vicious tackle of Kayli.

The second half looked promising for both teams, particularly Tottenham as they had 67% possession in the previous half. the match was a stalemate until the 85th minute where a corner was conceeded and a goal scoring opportunity was capatilized on by Ibrahim.

The game ended promptly after Bevan cheekily ran to the corner, to see Notts through to the Final.
