The ECC (the equivalent to the champions league) is always a prestigious figure in the month and when Notts faced Beskitas at home, high expectations were drawn of the club. The game started with Gomes-who was recently transferred from St. Etien, producing two great dribbles which should have been goals but thanks to the young and agile Sergio Assenjo, Notts were able to stay in the run. The breakthrough game in the 67th minute when a corner was taken and Novo Ramirez scored a beautiful header. Gomes made another good run to be miles off target and a low pass saw Perona Funes miss very narrowly just past the right post. Unfortunately, there was no consolation goal for Beskitas, but Notts striker Perona Funes was able to dribble a player to break in front of the box, to embarrasingly pass it past the morale deficient goalkeeper. The final score ending 2-0
