>.Early Release.<
I planned to release this tut for the 27th. But I decided to get it over with so it wouldn't be on my mind on Christmas Day.
Background that was created:
Let's get started.
Step One:
With the first layer selected, Let's render some clouds or Difference clouds. Your decision.

Step Two:
Create a new layer.
Create a gradient of black and white.
Now go to Render>Fibres.
Set the layer to Hard Light and the opacity to about 35%

Step Three:
Create a new layer.
Go to Image>Apply Image.
To add the bottom two layers on to one new layer.
Now go to Distort>Ripple (Or Ocean Ripple, Your decision)
Now make that layer's blending mode to Screen.

This has created a simple 'pre-ready' background
Now for the brushes.
Step IV:
Use grunge or abstract brushes. Or whatever fits the theme to what you want to make.

Step 5:
Load your render or cut out, and move it around to the best place, Do not resize it. Now apply a motion blur. Filter>Blurs>Motion Blur.
Experiment to make it look better.
I will also just add a bit of Noise and set the amount to around 2.5% and the distribution is set to Gaussian.
Now set that layer to Overlay.

Step 6: We are now going to place our render where it looks best at. I have placed it to the right.

Note: To create the fire, Go to the tutorial at the first post.
Step 7: We are going to recolour a part of the render.
Duplicate the layer with your render.
Now make it only slightly a bit bigger. And set the blending mode to Saturation. This should work with most renders.

Step 8:
Create a new layer and go to: Image> Apply image.
Now use the burn and dodge tool to make it look nice and to stand out more. Go to Edit> Stroke to create a border.
Step 9: Create a gradient map by going to New>Adjustment layer: Gradient Map. Now use the colour you can mostly see in the image. Set it to soft light and an opacity at about 65%.
This gives us our final art piece.

Hope you enjoyed this tut and found it easy and simple.Posted 26-12-2008 at 12:54 AM by Lycan
