Xbox 360

Never done a blog before so this won't be brilliant.
I recently purchased an Xbox 360 from amazon for £195. It included a premium Xbox, and extra controller, GTA IV and two other games. It arrived yesterday which I was happy about.
I spent ages unpacking it and putting all the wires in the correct places and I turn it on and it doesn't work.
I have spent ages trying different things and the picture just won't come up on the TV. I am sure there is nothing wrong with the Xbox because you can sort of see the image in the background but it flickers and is semi transparent. The sound is fine however which perplexes me. I don't know what to do than to get another TV but I bought this Xbox in time for a party I'm having on Sunday so it will have been useless me getting it. I'll take a look at the TV and Xbox manuals but if they are no help I'll have to wait until I get a new TV which will be very annoying. I might be able to take it around to a friends house in the mean time though.

try it on a few other televisions if not take it to your local game store and see if they can take a look at it CEX is the best for letting them repair and look into consoles.
blow into all the ports in the back of the 360 and television and in the sockets on the wire, mite be a bit of dust
Good Luck
