Hey everyone!

On Tuesday Baker011 and I were fortunate enough to be able to attend the FIFA Interactive World Cup in Manchester. The event took place in the Ampersand (if anyone knows it) and was certainly one to remember. There were a host of people there including members of the cast of Hollyoaks, Coronation street and even Wayne Rooney himself! The people I recognised from Hollyoaks were (on screen names):
Max
O.B
Hannah
Darren
Newt
Sonny Valentine
Lee (left a while ago)

Cornonation street (on screen names):
Tyrone
David Platt
Jason

There were also some ladies from FHM handing food out through out the course of the night.
During the evening the finals took place with Reggie Yates commentating, leading up to the final itself featuring none other than Chrissy Bullard who went on to become the UK champion once again! A huge congratulations to Chris for that, he'll be heading off to Berlin to show them what the UK are made of!

Overall the event went really well and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Just thought I'd make a quick post to let you know what i've been up to.
Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you for all the Birthday wishes, I had a great birthday :) and enjoyed a long weekend.
This week I've been working on a new forum skin so keep your eyes peeled for that in the near future. We've also got a Mass Effect PC section so feel free to jump in and start posting. I know I'm certainly looking forward to it!
Other than that all is well in the world of Omni, especially after Chelsea won last night and are through to the Semi-Finals! Actually playing footy myself tonight for the first time in weeks, could be painful lol.

Hope your all well, catch ya soon.

Morning all, hope you all had a nice easter. Today is our final day here in Newbury before heading off home. I think it's going to be a quiet one today as a lot of people have already packed up. We'll have the stand open for a few hours before packing up, loading up the truck and heading off.

Yesterday was a good day all round. We continued the "play EA" competition and managed to limit our losses and the amount of goals we conceded so the 7-1 defeat was our worst and the guy was chuffed to walk away with a PS3.

A lot of the finals took place in various tournaments with CrissyB walking away with the FIFA title once again. We even had Kane introduce the C&C 3 finals although sadly it was a video rather than the real person.

And so I draw to a close, it's been a great weekend and am already looking forward to i34. Have a good day folks.

Happy Easter everyone, hope you all have a good day.

I am once again at the EA stand just starting to set everything up for our final day on the stand. Everything has gone really well and everyone that's come to the stand has been very impressed.

Yesterday we had a Crysis tournament with the winners walking away with an EA goody bag with a signed copy of Crysis. It was a 4v4 and was a very entertaining game to watch.

In the afternoon we enjoyed a "Play EA" session where we challenged people to beat us on EURO 2008 on the 360. Who ever scores the most goals against us takes home a PS3. It didn't go too well... our first opponent beat us 7-1 having set his team to all out attack. We did however find our feet and manage to control the losses to the point that we drew and then won a game. We've got another two session today against some of the pro FIFA gamers so it could get messy.

We've also got the TF2 tournament today which is usually a good laugh so we'll see how it goes.

Thats about it from me really, everything's gone really well and hopefully we'll finish on a good day again today.

Day 2 has begun and we're back on the stand. Yesterday went really well, we met loads of cool people and everyone seemed to love the stand. Everyone was especially impressed with EURO 2008 and Kane's Wrath.

We spent most of the day hanging around the stand, chatting with people and playing some games. We also met up with the guys from Sweetpatch again and Dan provided some very good competition on EURO 2008. I just about managed to scrape a 5-4 victory over him but he's a very good player and I wish him the best of luck in the FIFA 08 tournament.

Well I ought to get back to work so I'll catch you all soon.

PS we'll have pics up soon, in the mean time check out sweetpatch.tv for a few pics :)

And so here I am, sat at the EA stand, making a few last checks before we open to the lines of gamers piling in to the building. The stand is awesome! I hadn't actually seen it before, only a rough design so to say the least I'm very impressed! We will have some pictures up when we get back so keep an eye out for those.

What have we been up to? Well we set off yesterday and had a relatively easy journey to Newbury taking no more than an hour which was nice. We had plenty of tunage to keep us going though, we think we've almost decided on a community team theme tune now...
So we arrived and wandered in to find our half ready stand looking very impressive but in need of setting up. The majority of the work went into connecting up the computers and the consoles to make sure everything is connected up and ready to go. I even had a quick chance to play Euro 2008 against Karen (one of the guys that's come to help us) and was winning 4-1 before the first half finished. Sadly we were quickly titled slackers and were sent back to the grind.. so to speak.
We then finished up with some fish 'n chips and headed back to the hotel for a relaxing drink before scooting off for some beauty sleep.

And this brings me to this point. Following on from a good breakfast this morning, Baker011 and I are here waiting for the others to arrive before we plug everything back in and get going.

It looks like it's gonna be a great weekend and if any of you happen to be here, please come and say hi/yo/sup/wadup etc...

Hey all! As some of you know the i-Series is coming up soon, very soon in fact and we’ve been busy getting ready for it. If you don’t know what the i-Series is it’s a huge gaming event that takes place in Newbury which is hosted by Multiplay.
To prepare we’ve put together a short video just saying what we’re doing and yes I am in the video, I’m the guy at the front. The video was actually a good laugh to do, especially the tank scenes as I was designated driver. We did get some funny looks though but most were intrigued as to what the tank was.
If any of you are attending i33 be sure to pop over and say hello to us EA folk, it’d be great to meet you. We’re hoping to have the tank their too assuming I don’t drive it into a lake (you’ll see how close I get in the video) because it’s not the easiest thing in the world to drive lol.
What else have we been up to? Well Baker011 and I have managed to complete Army of Two 3 times, twice on Easy/Recruit and once on Hard/Professional. I absolutely love the game but haven’t played much online other than the coop. We’ve also just moved to our new office in Guildford which is very nice and in a great location too. We’re literally in the middle of town so we can easily disappear off for lunch or a coffee. There’ll be plenty of community events coming up in the near future so hopefully we can get the chance to bring some of you down here.
Other than that I’m looking forward to a good weekend before getting ready and heading off to Newbury towards the end of next week.

PS The video will be posted shortly so keep an eye out for it.

PPS Shout out to the "Omni's got brown hair club"!
