Another cheap marketing ploy by EA!
Hi all,
I am what you would call a mature gamer and developer... along with also owning a large EU and US GSP. I would just like to make some valid points about large Gaming Company’s and Entities’ like EA! They are in the Market for 1 thing alone... profit.
This Free Games marketing and sales ploy is a business venture that is corroborated between the Games Developers and the Software Houses. I have been following this BFH venture right from the beginning and have managed to hold my peace.... Not now though! Enough is enough and this fiasco and scam is just a low down dirty cheap trick being played out and for 1 thing only... to get you all hooked and try and make sales in other areas of their games markets. It really discusts me how the gaming Industry has gone over the last 4 yrs or so... (It’s all about the $ bill yawl)
EA you can shove your lalalala free game where the sun don’t shine along with all the Spin and Hype you have set in place quite deliberately over the last bloody 8 months or so. I myself am not interested in your lalalala hype and delays that are purely deliberate in an attempt to g up the younger generation of players... the gamers I refer too are the I must have now and must have a hole in their heads. It’s software houses and Companies like EA that have totally [Remvoed] up the Market and [Remvoed] all the decent development and MODs with releasing lalalala like Cod CoD2 CoD4 Cod WaW etc... Companies that don’t give a [Remvoed] about the gamers on line. Cod WaW Sales are pitiful and the on Line scene is very slow as a result of these [Remvoed] companies trying to force new Software down people’s throats. Well it’s got to eventually stop somewhere and Cod WaW is a typical example of gamers on line getting [Remvoed] off and they will not move on until they are ready to. When are these Giants going to realise that and start to support the on line gaming community properly!

Why are you blaming EA for Activision forcing endless Call of Duty games on us? Have you seen EA's lineup this past year? Risky new IP's left right and center. I agree with you about Activision though. They've taken EA's place as 'big evil corporation'.

As for BF:H getting us 'to get you all hooked and try and make sales in other areas of their games markets', they recognise the fact that they're going to make money of a very small percentage of players who will choose to pay for upgrades. Also. Yes that is the general idea, and just what is wrong with that? How is it any worse than MMO's which are dime a dozen and nobody cares?

With regards to the actual game i've spoken to a bunch of people that were in the beta and they all said they were completely bored of it within a week so I don't think you need to worry about getting hooked.

If you want games by a company who properly support all their online games then go buy Valve games. Thats what I do.

They are indeed out to make a profit. However that doesn't make them evil. Up until last year (2008 that is) I would agree with you about EA. Nothing but endless sequels and cash ins. But not anymore. They have been trying hard this year to put out nothing but quality titles and I applaud them for it.

lol Hey realkiller, guess what your not the only guy that made this kinda post. XD Im a Admin/Mod for a Battlefield heroes Fansite. And beleve me your not the first! From the official forms of Battlefield Heroes to the small fansite on the side. People will always find ways to post something negivative towards a type of product that they don't like, even if he/she never experiance it. I know that EA may not have a good reputation out in the gaming world but hey! They're still trying to put peoples video game ideas out in the market like any other Video games company like Bungie, Infantry Ward, Valve, and many more. Also heres a simple solution for you! If you don't like it then don't play it. Battlefield Heroes will always be avaliable to everyone even though noone playes it.

So tell me what makes you think that your negitive post is different compare to all the other gamers that prefer Hardcore Glory Gameplay then Free Accessiability to everyone who can play it?
