Default The Reason BFH is Free?

Iam wondering as to why BFH is free, is it or could it have to do with that it something to give back to the BF communities? The reason i say this is in part that they apologized a month ago with regards to EA and its direction which has lost its way. This isn't a thread about bashing though its nice to see that someone understands and is perhaps the person that can make changes to EA name and product instead of what it has become. Perhaps and while it might be small it is a start or am i off on my presumption?

Well to be honest, i think this is going to be a novelty game nothing more and i don't think it is a game that is or will be modded in the terms that we see other BF series games.

You'll launch the game from a web page, which will have adverts on it, that's how they get some cash. ABP!

If using Firefox, install AddBlockPlus, make a world of difference to browsing.
Adverts in game isn't a PC only issue, can be done for any system.

The site will have adverts on but there will be no adverts in-game. The game will take advantage of micro-transactions. This means players can buy new upgrades, abilities, clothing and so on. However, you can still work your way up the ranks and earn new weapons/abilities.

hope so cause would be bad if people who dont want to pay for what in essence should be a fun game, what i mean is if no free unlocks (ranking) people who pay will own & those who wont pay owned

do u honestly think ppl would pay for a game that looks like this? they even said aiming for lower end PC's and such. if this game was idk $20, a bargin bin game, no 1 would buy it.
they will probally set it so u can spend real life money for things u dont need, like special weapons that simple look kool. or health kits or w/e they would want in here.

cant wait to try it, hope its good it will be somthing to do.

It's totally free. Adverts on the launching page but not in game as Kibax said. You can buy stuff for a couple of quid to customise your character. A long overcoat for example. It's not going to be the next generation of PC entertainment its just going to be a fun game that you and your mates can play together for nothing if you wish.

Come onnnnnnn release it!!!!
