Default Project Reality Mod!!!

Bored of the Acrcade BattleField 2? Want more Realism?
Then you should try this mod. It's fun due to the fact it requires a tremendous amount of teamwork to get the round going!
To get the best experience playing PR you should have a microphone and VoIP enabled or teamspeak for maximum efficiency when communicating with the rest of squad/team or the commander.
One of the best qualities of this mod is that all players are mature... Which means no bunnyhopping, teamkilling little smacktard 10 year olds.

About the Modification
PR involves a Fresh new style of gameplay, that is so much different when compared to Original BF2.

Main Features (what vBF2 doesn't have)(Slightly Outdated):
-Being in a squad is the most important part of the game (otherwise you can't carry out basic functions of the game, requred to play properly)
-You can build stuff (I.e. Bunkers, Firebases, Sandbags, razorwire etc)
-Realistic in every aspect of ballistics (I.e Realistic bullet drops, accuracy)
-Tonnes of new Weapons and Vehicles (I.e. A10, Portable AA, Defender)
-Plenty of new Maps (Replacing Current BF2 Maps)
-3 new factions (Malitia, Insurgents and British Army)
-JDAM feature!
-Destructable Environments! (You can blow up houses, bunkers, walls & gates etc!)
-Different Fire Modes for Tanks/APCs (Anti Armour & Heat rounds)
-Zoom feature on all turrets for vehicles with cannons.
-New supression effects - Intentionally created so that the mod is ever closer to it's main goal of being as realistic as possible. Supression techniques are used in real life in order for a squad to acheive an objective or to advance towards the enemy. This technique consists of a friendly squad firing at (or supressing) enemy targets, causing the enemy to keep their heads down.
-Realistic gameplay overall!
-No Bugs! - If there is one, It gets reported to the PR forums and the DEV's do their best to fix it ASAP!
-And much MUCH more...

The BF2 Engine has been pushed to it's limits in this mod...
-Sound effects have been vastly improved especially weapons/vehicles (I.e. if you hear a rifle 400m away... It's a crackle rather than the normal shooting sound, just like in reality and just you wait till you hear the M249 and tank sabots.
-View Distance Scale has been increased, and quality of shadows and textures have been improved also.
-More Maps are bigger! They are currently doing a wake island remake to a more realistic scale. (4km by 4km). Other maps this big also included, Kashan Desert (kinda like tampa, although ALOT better ) another is Battle of Qinling.

This game is that good a representation of Real Life, the Real British Army has a server running on this mod for reqular training sessions (including revision of tactics, self defense and assault formations etc). Let's get another thing straight, some if not most of the Developers are infact british, heck there are even some developers that are actually serving in the British Army... So they sort of favour the brits at the moment.
EDIT: Well that's all changed now, hehe, cause they just released tonnes of new stuff for the Real US Army, including new M4's, new Digitial Camo Skin, new Humvee and Tanks model/skins, new APC (Stryker) A new AA vehicle, and loads other stuff.

0.8 Info and Download Locations
For more information and 0.8 Trailer, Click Here.
For Download Locations and torrent, Click Here.

I recommend you read the 0.8 players manual and get to know the mod before you play. Trust me, the developers of the mod did actually change original BF2 that much.

Thanks for reading
You may be wondering why I spent my time doing this post on these forums and how this could possibly benfit me.
I'm benifiting because I know that there are people out there that are still playing BF2 that have the perfect attitude for playing PR, to perhaps lead a few squads on PR from time to time, if not a whole team. I have heard a few times when playing BF2 experienced squad leaders with VoIP and making a good damn use of it too. The result often being the squad as the Number one Squad in the team at the end of the round. If I (or we rather) over at the PR community had more people like them... Then the mod would be even better. So if this mod sounds like you, why not give it ago...
See you on the Field!

Positive Feedback is Welcome! PM me if you need any help.

P.S.
To make the mod's style of gameplay more apparent... I will let you know that some people that play PR have said it to be a tad similar to ARMA (Armed Assault) due to its teamwork and tactics, so If you don't like ARMA... PR might not be for you.

I used to play PR. It was fantastic, and i recommend it to everyone.

However it was too much for my poor computer and it crashed (very) regularly, so I stopped.
