yeah - we've been getting a lot of dos attacks from the (members of) the hacksites recently - tends to knock us offline for a few hours. They've also been epically failing at code injections and bruteforcing the site :/
I personally see this as proof of a job well done in fighting against the hack using noobs. Anyway the servers: Karkand 40 man infantry: 85.236.101.15:16567 Vehicles Rotation: 85.236.100.4:16767 |

Sorry for the late reply on this - to clarify:
Because of the work we've done in anti-cheating we've been targeted for a long long time by a number of hack sites (or their users). My previous comment was related to them epically failing specifically at code injections, bruteforcing, direct attacks and the like - this happened in fits and spurts but the website has never been compromised. To date the various attempts at gaining admin access over the site by various vectors have all failed... so yes that would justify a fail. The dos attacks on the other hand were a slight inconvenience, by the nature of a dos attack - when a net hit us it did knock us offline for a few hours, however the site was either failed over to one of its backups or the hosts did a reasonable jobs at filtering, thereby restoring access to the masses; the site itself has always remained secure. Simply put a clan has finite funds and I'm certainly not going to pay for the additional (expensive) services and hardware to limit the infrequent dos attacks, when in reality they had little impact on our operations. The only occasions were these would be critical is where a site is losing money by the minute by being offline, with a clan site this isn't the case. I hope this explains my previous comments |
